    MONDAY

George Knight is feeling nervy ahead of his visit to see dad Eddie Knight and mum Gloria Knight for Eddie's awards celebration. It's been years since he's been to the family home and he's not sure what to expect.

George has only recently been back in regular contact with his adoptive parents after mum Gloria Knight decided to finally tell George the truth that his biological parents fostered George out after putting an ad in the paper.

After arriving with fiancee Elaine Peacock and daughters Gina Knight and Anna Knight at the family home, George is surprised when all his dad's old mates treat him like a returning hero.

Eddie makes a big deal about how proud he is of his son and during the evening he makes a heartfelt speech. Moved by his dad's words, George confides in Elaine that he may have misread his dad's cold attitude towards him and perhaps Eddie has always loved him after all.

As the celebratory party comes to a close, George is confused when one of Eddie's friends mentions that he'll 'impress the jury'.

Pushing for more information, George is stunned when he finds out that Eddie's up on trial for an historic racially motivated murder and he needs George to be his character witness...

Linda Carter is in a dishevelled heap on the floor after falling down drunk outside The Albert. Fortunately, someone has come to her rescue... her absent son Johnny Carter!

Linda's middle son was last seen in the Square five years ago, so his visit comes as a surprise. Johnny moved away after a couple of brushes with death as well as a one night stand with Ben Mitchell to start a new life with a job at law firm in Manchester.

Helping Linda back to The Vic, Johnny asks the family why she's in a such a bad state and he's horrified to learn that her rapist Dean Wicks is back and haunting her every move.

Spoiling for a fight with Dean, a protective Johnny storms out to confront him. When Ben spots Johnny, he follows him into Dean's business Beale's Eels.

Dragging a raging Johnny away from Dean before he does anything stupid, Ben takes Johnny to calm down over a drink with him and hubby Callum Highway.

Not able to let it go, after closing time Johnny fronts up to Dean and punches him!

Nish Panesar is scheming over how to ensure he can draw in Kat Mitchell. After Kat split up from cheating hubby Phil Mitchell, she ran straight into Nish's arms in a bid to prove a point to Phil. But Nish is plotting something and a stubborn Kat has refused to open her eyes to his games.

When Priya Nandra-Hart points out that Kat's boys are the way to her heart, it gives Nish an idea. Inviting Kat for dinner, he encourages her to bring twins Bert and Ernie with her.

Kat thinks it's hilarious when the boys run riot in the house and Nish struggles not to lose it!

The reason behind his self control soon becomes clear when Nish makes a VERY surprising suggestion...

    TUESDAY

Johnny Carter's head is in a spin after finding out that Linda Carter's rapist Dean Wicks is back in Albert Square.

Worried for his mum, he tries to stop alcoholic Linda from knocking back the booze but she manages to sneak away for him and crack open a bottle.

Blind drunk again, Linda drops Gina Knight's birthday cake in front of everyone in The Vic, prompting Gina to nervously burst into laughter.

Johnny knows that Gina dated Dean until a controlling and dangerous Dean finally showed his true colours. He's fuming with Gina for mocking Linda and adding even more to her woes.

When Johnny goes off the deep end and has a massive go at Gina, it shocks everyone. Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway are alarmed about the strength of Johnny's anger and they try to calm him down.

Not best pleased about having Dean around himself, Ben promises Johnny he'll help get rid of him. Ben assures copper husband Callum it will all be above board and legal, but is he telling the truth?

George is simmering with hurt and anger after finding out that dad Eddie Knight was only laying it on thick with the fatherly love because he wants George to help him out with a court case.

When Eddie turns up at The Vic with George's mum Gloria Knight, he tells them to get out. Desperate to help her husband, Gloria pleads with George to help his dad but George insists he has nothing more to say to them.

It's Gina Knight's birthday and George is determined not to let Eddie's games ruin things. After her birthday lunch, George has heart-to-heart with his daughter, opening up about his childhood.

Gina can't bear her the way her granddad treats George, and she's angry when he tries to make excuses for Eddie's cruel behaviour in the past.

Realising he needs to know the truth about Eddie, he steels himself to find out who Eddie is accused of killing.

A stunned George rings Eddie and tells him they need to talk...

Denise Fox's cold and distant behaviour around husband Jack Branning and the family hasn't gone unnoticed by Jack's kids Amy Branning and Ricky Branning.

Not realising that Denise is in the middle of a mental breakdown, torn apart by the guilt of conspiring to cover up the killing of Keanu Taylor at Christmas, and burying his body under the cafe floor.

Amy is worried that Denise's recent strange behaviour means that her already fragile marriage to Jack really is on the rocks and she vows to help keep them together.

Choosing a lovely bracelet for Jack to give to Denise for Valentine's Day, Amy shares her purchase with brother Ricky.

When Denise catches the pair, she has another psychotic episode, hallucinating that the bracelet is her distinctive missing 'D' necklace... The one that accidentally ended up in the concrete grave with Keanu.

Ricky and Amy are alarmed when Denise freaks out and Ricky wants to talk to Jack but Amy is desperate not to give the couple any reason to split up and she begs Ricky to stay quiet.

Also, Denzel Danes puts his love life in second place as he fixates on diet and training.

    WEDNESDAY

George Knight is determined to find out the whole truth about his upbringing after the shocking revelations about his adoptive dad. Eddie Knight is due in court over an historic racially motivated murder and the family's decades long web of lies have started to unravel.

Brought up by his doting adoptive mum Gloria Knight, Eddie was always distant with George and often downright racist.

Not knowing anything about his biological parents, a young George assumed he had Caribbean heritage. Recently, Gloria made a bombshell confession to George that, in fact, his parents were Ghanaian.

Childless and desperately wanting to be a mum, Gloria had answered a newspaper ad asking for foster parents, in a process known as 'baby farming'.

Gloria claimed that although George's real father had paid for the couple to look after him for a while, when all contact was dropped and the money stopped arriving, Gloria and Eddie applied to officially adopt him.

After researching Eddie's court case, George was left stunned by what he found out and he called Eddie, demanding to speak to him.

Gloria and Eddie arrive at The Vic and George tells his dad that they need to have words... Alone.

A painful conversation ensues and George finally starts to get answers about his childhood and Eddie's racist attitudes.

It's clear that Gloria and Eddie's recent reappearance in George's life and Gloria's confession about his true heritage are tied up in the court case.

Knowing that George would discover they'd covered up the truth around his adoption, Gloria wanted to get in first and explain herself, as well as reassuring George how much she loves him.

With Eddie's freedom on the line, Gloria is desperate for George to support him and she turns to his fiancee Elaine Peacock.

Begging her to talk to George, Gloria asks her to convince him to testify on his father's behalf.

    Will Elaine agree?

    THURSDAY

Dean Wicks has made rape victim Linda Carter's life a misery after returning to the Square and he just doesn't seem to be going away!

As well as buying into local business Eels Beale's, Dean tried to romance Linda's soon-to-be stepsister Gina Knight by feeding her a pack of lies, although she eventually got wise to him.

Now that Linda's son Johnny Carter is back in the Square, he is sure that her recent spectacular alcoholic relapse is squarely on Dean's shoulders, not knowing she's also hiding a killer secret. With his legal background, Johnny decides to take the route of the courts and launch a civil case against Dean, who has never faced justice for Linda's rape.

When he finds out that Dean forced Linda into 'confessing' that she made up the rape and recorded it, Johnny realises he needs to get hold of Dean's phone. Teaming up with Gina Knight to wipe the recording, Gina tricks her former fling into going out on another date, leaving Johnny to do what he needs to in the cafe.

Dean rumbles their plan and bursts in to interrupt him. When Linda sees the ruckus, she overcomes her horror of being near Keanu Taylor's concrete grave under the floor of the cafe and rushes in to protect her son.

A glass gets smashed, leaving Linda with a cut hand and Johnny is stunned when she goes completely ballistic.

Will he convince her to open up about what's really going on?

George Knight is in a very weird head space after the bombshell revelations about his childhood. Heading to the Boxing Den to let off some steam, he helps teen Denzel Danes with a training session.

On the edge, George takes things too far and loses with a shocked Denzel. When his fiancee Elaine Peacock witnesses George's meltdown she is worried, as he breaks down, worried he's just like his violent adoptive dad Eddie Knight.

George's adoptive mum Gloria Knight convinces Elaine to let her speak to George. At the Boxing Den, she begs him to let her have just five minutes to explain herself.

George agrees but can he forgive her for her lies?

Denise Fox is increasingly unravelling after being a party to Keanu Taylor's murder and conspiracy to hide the body at Christmas.

When husband Jack Branning surprises her with a romantic Valentine's Day breakfast, she does her best to paint on a smile.

Wanting to make things right after recently pushing him away, terrified that he'll work out her deadly secret, she suggests they spend the evening together.

He shuts down her offer and makes an excuse to be out of the house, secretly wanting to spend Valentine's evening with his lover Stacey Slater.

Jack's daughter Amy Mitchell is becoming increasingly alarmed by Denise odd behaviour and devotes the day to keeping an eye on her. When she continues to act out of character, Amy's brother Ricky Branning suggests that they need to talk to Jack.

Amy's terrified that Denise and Jack will split up and desperate to keep the family together, she tells Ricky they need to keep their worries from their dad.

Instead, Amy does some digging about bipolar episodes by asking Stacey Slater, who has had plenty of experience of the challenging mental health condition as both Stacey and her mum Jean Slater are bipolar. Amy covers for her questions by claiming she needs the info for a school project.
