There will be a number of returnees for the 'Save our School' riot/protest. Summer Hoyland (Jordy Lucas) returns as a journalist to broadcast her radio show from the protest, interviewing other past students. There will also be ex-students Melissa Jarrett (Jade Amenta), Brett Stark (Brett Blewitt), Michelle Scully (Kate Keltie) & old teacher Marty Muggleton (Nikolai Egel).

Jordy Lucas is returning to Neighbours as Summer Hoyland.

Jordy previously played the character between 2010 and 2013. But now it seems Summer is going back to Ramsay Street for the soap's new era on Amazon Freevee, as she has posted a picture with Neighbours veteran Jackie Woodburne, who portrays Susan Kennedy.

"Cat's out of the bag, Summer Hoyland is coming back to @neighbours soon for a little visit," Jordy wrote on Twitter/X.

"So special to head back to the place that changed my life forever," she added.

Digital Spy understands that Summer is returning to Erinsborough upon learning about a 'Save Our School' campaign against Erinsborough High's closure.

Speaking with us before getting the call from producers, Jordy opened up on her desire to return to the Neighbours revival, saying she "would jump" at the chance.

"I definitely would. I don't live too far from the studio. I have nothing but fond memories of my time on the show, and if they were to ask me back, I would jump at the chance. I had the best time there and it would be amazing," she said.

ordy, who now runs her own lifestyle website and podcast, also considered some career options for Summer.

"I'm not sure what Summer would be doing now," Jordy said. "I'm sure she'd be doing something in the journalism space ? perhaps she'd be a podcaster too!"

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.

Neighbours riot scenes revealed as more familiar faces return
    Save Erinsborough High!

    Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours fans can expect chaos at Erinsborough High next week as Nicolette Stone and Wendy Rodwell's protest goes badly wrong.

The duo have teamed up to save the local school, but their tactics have alarming consequences when some of the protestors take things to the next level.

Viewers know that Erinsborough High has been confirmed for closure and Terese Willis' new retirement experience will take its place.

Despite this, Nicolette and Wendy hold out hope for a last-minute U-turn and they believe that a noisy protest could swing the balance in their favour.

Next week, school principal Jane Harris finally finds out about the protest when she listens to a live radio broadcast being hosted by Summer Hoyland.

Summer, played by Jordy Lucas, has just returned to Erinsborough to join the campaign in support of the school.

Susan also listens to the broadcast and is visibly moved when she hears Summer interviewing fellow former student Michelle Scully about her time in Erinsborough High.

These scenes see Kate Keltie reprise the role of Michelle for the first time since her departure in 2004.

After weeks on the fence, Susan decides that it's time to take a stand against the planned development, which leaves Terese feeling betrayed.

The usually-cautious Jane also joins the protest and is touched by Nicolette's efforts.

Many past and present students, joined by staff, come out in force for the protest. This leads to return appearances from Brett Stark (Brett Blewitt), Marty Muggleton (Nikolai Egel) and Melissa Jarrett (Jade Amenta).

adly, things get out of hand when the protestors break the gates and gain access to the school, sparking a riot.

Melanie Pearson gets caught up in a skirmish with security guards, while Nicolette is left wondering whether she has done the school more harm than good.

Could this be the final nail in the coffin for Erinsborough High?

Neighbours announces two more returns for school protest scenes
More old friends will be joining the fight.

    Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has announced two more returns for the Erinsborough High school protest storyline.

In scenes set to air next week, Nicolette Stone and Wendy Rodwell's protest to save the school will go badly wrong when some of the protesters take things too far.

Hoping for a U-turn on the decision to transform the school into Terese Willis' retirement experience, Nicolette and Wendy will be joined at the protest by some familiar faces.

Taking to X, the soap shared a picture of seven stars, who will be reprising their roles for cameo appearances in the upcoming episodes.

They wrote: "As the battle to save Erinsborough High heats up next week, look out for some faces from the past who've come to join the fight. How many can you remember?"

The soap has already confirmed a group of returning stars but it looks like Teresa 'Tess' Bell and Richie Amblin (played by Lachlan Miller) will be joining the protest.

Played by Krista Vendy, English teacher Tess first appeared on screens in September 1999, where she was involved in a number of romantic dramas before leaving the show in September 2001. Miller starred as Richie between 2019 and 2021.

Already confirmed to be returning to the soap in an attempt to save the school by joining the protest is Jordy Lucas as Summer Hoyland as well as Kate Keltie as fellow former student Michelle Scully.

We also know that Brett Stark actor Brett Blewitt, Marty Muggleton actor Nikolai Egel and Melissa Jarrett star Jade Amenta will also be making return appearances.

Lucas recently opened up about her return to Neighbours with a post on Twitter/X, saying: "Cat's out of the bag, Summer Hoyland is coming back to @neighbours soon for a little visit," she penned.

"So special to head back to the place that changed my life forever," she added.

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
