Calum Lill recently spoke out about the shocking truth about Joel being revealed, confirming that he had known where his character's story was heading for over a year.

Calling Joel "very messed up", he said: "When he sees these vulnerable young women probably from broken homes, with criminal records and no-one looking out for them, he is like a shark.

"He hones in on them, coercively controls them and emotionally manipulates them using his power and money."

Coronation Street star Calum Lill has sparked rumours that he could soon depart the soap after landing a new role.

The star, who plays Joel Deering on the ITV soap, made his debut as the scheming lawyer last year, but he has landed a new role with a part in Jack & the Beanstalk at the Bournemouth Pavilion.

ITV tends not to allow actors to star in pantomimes while they are contracted to soaps, though Digital Spy understands that Lill was always meant to have a finite stint on the show given his role as a villain.

While Lill?s role on Corrie may be over soon, the star expressed his excitement at joining the production of Jack & the Beanstalk, saying: ?I?m really looking forward to my Christmas Boo?s in Bournemouth, when I bring my dastardly Fleshcreep to the stage. Bring it on!?

?We couldn?t be happier to welcome Corrie bad boy Calum to the Bournemouth Pavilion pantomime family this year,? said Martin Dodd, UK Productions Producer and Managing Director. ?We can promise you a giant of a pantomime that will leave you full of beans!?

?Last year nearly 30,000 showgoers came to Bournemouth Pavilion?s pantomime, and we hope everyone will join us once more for an unforgettable festive experience,? added Steve Turner, Director of venues for BH Livesaid.

?We can?t wait to raise the curtain on another magical panto season. It is a highlight in the theatre?s calendar for so many people of all ages. We are thrilled our pantomime producer, UK Productions, has secured another great cast line up for our festive spectacular.?

Performances of Jack & the Beanstalk will begin on December 7, with the final showing taking place on January 5, 2025. Tickets for all showings can be purchased here.

Maybe it is written into the contracts or their contract is terminated for the duration of the panto stint ??

Coronation Street is set to revisit one of evil Joel Deering's victims amid efforts to bring him down.

Dee-Dee Bailey and DS Lisa Swain are both currently trying to build a criminal case against Joel following his violent attack on Lauren Bolton, as there isn't enough evidence to charge him and the case has been closed.

In upcoming scenes, the pair will try to contact Ellie ? another vulnerable teenager who Joel has exploited ? hoping she will provide some information that could send the abuser down once and for all.

Bethany Platt previously met up with Ellie and begged her to share what she knew about Lauren's disappearance.

Although Ellie said that Nathan Curtis was responsible, it was later revealed that she was Joel was intimidating her into making that claim.

In scenes airing on the ITV soap next week, Lisa informs Dee-Dee that Joel's work phone showed some message exchanges with someone of interest, and she's going to follow it up.

Craig agrees to help track down Ellie, but is warned that both he and Lisa could lose their jobs if anyone finds out.

Craig successfully finds Ellie's address ? but will she agree to talk to Lisa?

Earlier this week, Joel threatened Lauren at the hospital and revealed his plans to apply for custody of their baby son Frankie.

"You're only doing this to punish Lauren, you've got no interest in Frankie," said Dee-Dee, to which Joel replied: "You're wrong, I love my son and I want to make sure he's safe."

Although Joel warned Dee-Dee to back off, or he'd report her dad Ed for insider trading, she later passed on some information to Lisa that she'd received about Joel's mysterious departure from Walcott's, a firm that specialises in helping vulnerable young people.

Later on, Lisa's colleague Kit informed Dee-Dee that someone had made an allegation of insider trading against Ed ? and she was convinced Joel was responsible.

Coronation Street officially reveals Joel Deering's fate next week.

The villain is confirmed to be dead as his body is found in the river, two weeks after his mysterious disappearance.

The revelation comes as three young men spot Joel's body floating in the water.

News reaches Craig Tinker first, so he approaches DS Lisa Swain and Kit Green with the information at the police station.

With Kit now overseeing the Joel investigation, it's down to him to break the news to Dee-Dee Bailey and Lauren Bolton at the hospital. Lisa carries out the informal duty of letting the rest of the community know at the Rovers Return.

Later that day, Kit informs Lauren that a post-mortem has been carried out and the results show that Joel was dead before he entered the water.

This means that Joel's death is now a murder investigation ? and first on the agenda is finding out where Lauren was on September 27, the night of his demise.

Later in the week, further information is brought to light as Kit tells Lisa that Joel died from two blows to the head. A heavy weapon was used in the crime ? most likely a crowbar.

There's a new suspect when DS Swain finds out that Yasmeen Metcalfe threw Mason Radcliffe out of her home because she found out he had a crowbar.

Lisa warns her daughter Betsy to stay away from Mason, but Betsy has other ideas and tips off her friend that the police are already onto him.

Mason tries to dispose of the crowbar in a bin outside the factory, but he's caught covering his tracks by Kit.

Other suspects in the mystery include Max Turner, Ronnie Bailey and Ed Bailey, who all quickly raise concern with their shifty behaviour following the news about Joel. But who really killed him?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, October 14 and Wednesday, October 16.

Why does "Lisa" need to tell everyone at The Rovers?

The killer will probably end up Kit or Joel's father or one of his other victims, young ladies
