I would say the best couple is Sharon and Dennis. But although Kat and Alfie are not together - there are many viewers who think they make the perfect couple - and they are technically still married.

If you're referring to the BSA, they are not screened until next year As for Inside soap awards Kat and Alfie are not even in the panel and Sharon and Dennis are.

Anyway I agree with what most have said on this thread. It’s ridiculous how Kat and Alfie were in the running for best couple when they haven't been a couple for a year, regardless of being married by paper. The whole thing is naff! Plus they have gone stale as a couple too. Rather boring actually.

Sharon and Dennis are the best couple this year imho and if they are to lose out to anyone, it should be Dot and Jim.
