Coronation Street viewers have been suspicious of Summer Spellman's boyfriend ever since he first appeared on the cobbles - but his secret turns out to be nothing short of heartbreaking.
Summer turns up at the garage and finds her boyfriend is nursing a fat lip, but he quickly hurries away.
When she manages to catch up with him, Summer quizzes him again about his injury but he ends up snapping at her.
He later apologises to Summer and reveals that his dad is the one causing his injuries, explaining that he is an alcoholic who can sometimes lash out.
