Everything is about to change in Casualty this week in some of the show's darkest scenes of all time.

The 'missing' episode is airing on Saturday, June 18, following the BBC's decision to delay it due to the sensitive nature of the storyline.

But, as we've already revealed, that unsettling Ollie cliffhanger wasn't in there for no reason ? and you're about to see why.

As a devastating school shooting throws the local school into turmoil, David's life changes forever and a patient from Paul's past pushes him to be honest with Robyn.

1. There's a shooting at the school

Kerry is teaching her class, including Faith's daughter Natalia and Jack, another student.

Just as Kerry is reprimanding Jack, gunshots sound through the room and everyone freezes.

Panicked, Kerry tells the students to hide under their desks as more gunshots are fired.

2. David and Faith fear the worst

At the ED, the team soon learn what's happened. Dylan tells David to take the day off, but he insists he'll be alright and tries calling Ollie.

When Faith learns about the shooting from Stevie, she also fears the worst and rushes to the school to find her daughter.

3. David deals with the fallout of the shooting

Although we are sworn to secrecy on who is responsible for the shooting, it's safe to say that there will be shocks aplenty for David, who has to deal with his son's involvement.

As Ffion arrives to get information from the culprit in question, Dylan attempts to brush her off. However, when one of the students references a worrying detail about the shooter, the penny soon drops.

4. There's a shock death

While many of the finer details of this week's episodes are being kept under wraps until transmission, we can confirm that at least one character won't be alive by the end of the double-bill.

A trailer teasing the tense scenes show Ethan frantically trying to resuscitate someone, while Jacob can be heard saying, 'These are the kind of days you hope you never have to face'.

As more shocking twists are unveiled, and further truths come to light, it's clear that life in the ED will never be the same again. But who will lose their life?

5. Paul gets a blast from the past

When Teddy brings unconscious teacher Kerry into the ED, Paul instantly recognises her. He tells Robyn that he and Kerry were engaged when they were much younger but he ended things.

He's later devastated to learn that Kerry's injuries were too severe, and she didn't make it.

6. Robyn learns a secret about Paul

A heartbroken Paul says goodbye to Kerry but is guilt-ridden over his past treatment of her.

As Robyn comforts him, Paul explains that he walked out on shortly her before their wedding, due to fear of commitment.

To his relief, Robyn is supportive, as Paul promises he can change for her.

7. Marty helps a struggling mum

Schoolboy Jamie will find himself trapped under a stage after he tries to flee the gunmen. When his mum Nina arrives at the ED looking for him, Marty tries to help her.

Iain and Sah find Jamie under the stage and rush him to the ED where Stevie is able to stabilise him.

Grateful, Nina later thanks Marty for supporting her throughout the day.

Casualty will air the 80-minute special on Saturday, June 18 at at 9.10pm on BBC One.
