Time may be up for Coronation Street killer Stephen Reid as actor Todd Boyce has been spotted filming some potential exit scenes.

Disgraced businessman Stephen has turned to murder over the last year on the cobbles, leaving several dead bodies in his wake. Recently, the killer offed business rival Rufus Donahue in what looked like an accidental drowning.

In new paparazzi photos taken during filming, Boyce can be seen in character as Stephen as he wanders at an airport, black briefcase in hand.

Will the baddie leave Weatherfield behind before his crimes catch up with him? It seems likely, particularly as the villain is currently in panic mode and could make a fatal mistake at any minute.

These pictures come a few days after different paparazzi photos showed the soap filming scenes of Craig Tinker discovering Teddy Thompkins' body.

Could Stephen's time be running out?

On screens currently, Stephen is trying to avoid getting caught out over Rufus' death. While Rufus' drowning was initially treated as a tragic accident, his widow Lou became suspicious there may have been foul play when she found a tie pin (belonging to Stephen) among the belongings that were left near his body.

Boyce's character goes to great lengths to retrieve the pin, almost getting busted in the process.

As Stephen's list of victims gets longer, his web of lies is becoming more intricate too. It's only natural for him to seek a permanent getaway and the airport scenes may be providing him with just that.

The snaps, however, offer no indication as to where Stephen is planning to jet off to. Could he go back to Canada or head to a new destination? Viewers will find out soon enough.

Of course, the murderer could also be meeting a mystery person at the airport. Particularly, the briefcase may suggest Stephen is being blackmailed and needs to pay someone off in exchange for their silence..

I suspect we get a lot of these red herrings, I am still convinced that he will be exposed at Christmas .....

Coronation Street's Sarah Barlow will become the latest person to harbour suspicions over Stephen Reid next week, as she starts to spot some unusual patterns in her killer uncle's behaviour.

The twist begins when Angelique Simmons breaks the news to the Underworld team that her company won't be renewing the Nippersnapper contract that was secured earlier this year.

Stephen responds to the news by telling Sarah, Carla Barlow and Michael Bailey that he would consider buying the company outright.

However, Tim Metcalfe surprises Sarah by warning her that Stephen is a liar who claimed that he was coercively controlled by his ex-wife, Gabrielle, but later tried to pass her off as a business consultant for the factory.

Sarah later discovers that Gail Rodwell and Audrey Roberts both knew about Gabrielle's supposed treatment of Stephen, and she decides to give Gabrielle a call to get to the bottom of things. What will Gabrielle say when she hears from Sarah?

Meanwhile, Audrey shows Gail a statement from an equity release company, after Stephen secretly released equity from her house earlier this year without telling her.

Sarah's suspicions continue to grow when Audrey shows her the equity release letter and wonders if it has anything to do with the estate agent visit that Stephen organised for her house.

This is yet more proof that Stephen may have been up to no good behind his family's backs.

Later on, in the factory, Sarah overhears Stephen talking to Jenny Connor, who he manages to seduce next week, on the phone about the Rovers Return deal. Wrongly assuming that he's speaking to Angelique about the Nippersnapper situation, she decides to follow him.

After tailing Stephen, Sarah finds him at the hotel and threatens to call the police, believing that he's about to pull a fast one on the deal.

Has Stephen lost Sarah's support for good - and could this put her in danger of becoming yet another of Stephen's victims?

Todd Boyce has confirmed a change in Stephen Reid's Coronation Street storyline.

Weatherfield's latest serial killer will finally feel remorse in upcoming scenes when he's faced with the trauma caused by one of his murders.

Stephen viciously killed business rival Rufus months ago and has taken great pains to cover up the crime. However, he'll start questioning himself when he meets with Rufus's young son at a memorial service.

Ahead of these scenes airing, cast member Todd Boyce has explained why Stephen is so shaken to see the direct consequences of his vengeful killing.

"He thinks he's dealt with it by diverting attention to Peter and the watch, but the real issue is here that for one of the first times, he feels contrition after meeting Rufus' son at the memorial," Todd said.

"He's emotional about that for the first time. He's always been able to compartmentalise prior to this and move on from these murderers in a really extraordinary way. But not that one."

The actor continued: "He hated Rufus and he had to get rid of him, but to be faced with the ex-wife saying what a good dad he was and seeing how upset his son was has affected him, and that is not helping him to keep a clear head when this is the time he really needs to do so.

"He's not able to just move on. With Teddy and Leo, he didn't really see the effects on the family. He didn't really care about how Teddy felt about Leo?s disappearance. But seeing a child reacting in that way affected him just to see this child's entire life being destroyed."

The killer could be in trouble, as more Weatherfield residents have started to suspect he may be up to no good.

As he's already made an enemy of both Peter Barlow and Tim Metcalfe recently, Stephen's own niece Sarah Barlow will be warned about how dangerous her uncle may be in upcoming scenes.

A possible exit was recently filmed for Stephen, leading to questions over whether the murderer is finally about to be caught out...

Exclamation Coronation Street exit revealed for Stephen Reid as cast say goodbye to Todd Boyce

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...id-todd-boyce/

Coronation Street's Stephen Reid has been confirmed to be exiting, with the cast seen saying goodbye to star Todd Boyce.
Boyce first appeared as Stephen in 1996, subsequently making a guest appearance in 2007 before returning full-time last year.
The businessman has been in a pickle in his latest stint, with his quest for commercial success driving him to murder (more than once), but the end is now in sight.
Ahead of his on-screen departure next month, Todd went for a celebratory farewell with his cast mates, with attendees including Helen Worth, Jack P Shepherd, Tina O?Brien, Paula Wilcox, Mollie Gallagher, Julia Goulding and Colson Smith.
One photo from the event saw Boyce with his thumbs up towards the camera, while another showed Gallagher, Shepherd and Goulding making their way to the farewell.
While we don?t exactly know how Stephen will exit the show, fans will get a chance to watch the character?s farewell with Boyce himself, with an event being planned on Friday, October 13.
The Coronation Street Experience is a live event hosted by the 'Soap Queen' Sharon Marshall, giving fans the chance to ask Boyce about the soap in a Q&A, which will take place after the airing of the episode.
?I can?t wait to watch our fans watch me, with me, as my storyline heads towards one of its biggest moments yet,? said Boyce of the event.
?That said, I?m slightly nervous at their reaction - they all know what Stephen?s been up to, I?m just hoping Sharon is as good a bodyguard as I know she will be a host.?

Yes and no. It would, of course, see him getting justice instead of the weasel way out Soaps generally devise for their villains by having them die in some way.

On the other hand, if he is in prison, there is always the prospect that he could get out one day and return to our screens....
