    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 24th - 28th July 2023

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...w-dna-results/

Coronation Street's Adam Barlow takes decisive action next week after realising that his wife Sarah could be lying to him about the paternity test results.

Adam requests written confirmation of the DNA test results after Sarah lied to him about hearing the outcome over the phone.

Viewers recently saw Sarah rip up the results and throw them in a bin outside Victoria Garden after deceiving Adam. She chose not to read the results for herself.

Next week, Sarah steps in to help her uncle Stephen Reid after Tim Metcalfe throws his belongings out of the flat he shared with Elaine Jones.

Sarah is flabbergasted when she finds the DNA test results among Stephen's belongings, which seem to suggest that he has started meddling.

Later that day, Sarah attends a baby scan at the hospital and is offered a test for genetic diseases.

Adam points out that there are no genetic illnesses in their families, but then notices that Sarah seems uneasy over his assurances. He starts to wonder whether she's really telling him the truth over the recent results.

Back home on the cobbles, Adam suffers another panic attack when his uncle Daniel Osbourne asks him about the scan.

Adam explains to Daniel that he noticed Sarah's discomfort at the hospital and still doesn't trust her.

Deciding that communication is key, Adam admits to Sarah that he needs to know for sure that he's the father and has asked the clinic to send written confirmation.

Later that week, Sarah finds Adam holding the letter at home. She braces herself as Adam rips it open, but Adam delightedly confirms that the results prove he's the father.

Does this finally settle the mystery, or is there more to this?

Coronation Street airs emotional scenes for Paul Foreman and Billy Mayhew next week as the show begins to explore the issue of assisted dying.

Paul shocks Billy by revealing that he'd like help to end his life at a later date, after his Motor Neurone Disease (MND) has developed.

The scenes air in next Monday's episode (July 24) after Paul attends an appointment at the MND clinic.

While there, Paul talks to Shelly, who he recognises from his MND support group.

Paul is impressed by Shelly's positive attitude and listens to her advice. Shelly encourages Paul to take control and suggests that, if there's something he has always wanted to do, he should do it now.

Back at home, Paul tells Billy that Shelly has helped him to see things more clearly and he has something important to ask him.

Billy excitedly expects a marriage proposal and speaks to Summer Spellman about how a wedding could be on the cards.

Paul's real reason for the important conversation becomes clear when he tells Billy that, when the time comes, he'd like him to help him end his life. How will Billy react?

Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy, revealed: "Billy is absolutely horrified. Because it not only goes against his own personal moral stance, but also his role as an archdeacon is very much about celebrating the life they've got left rather than terminating it.

"He wants them to have more time together, not less. So he's absolutely horrified that Paul is even considering it."

Daniel continued: "Billy is very fixated on the fact that Paul isn't christened and now he wants to end his life, so he is worried that he may not go to heaven and they won't see each other in the afterlife.

"If you compare it to the end-of-life conversations he had with Sinead ? when he visited her deathbed, he was talking about the afterlife. That was beautifully written.

"Sinead said: 'I'm scared that there could be nothing'. Billy said: 'But there's a peace in nothing. We'll get eternal life, we get the rest'.

"So his view on things is very different. I think there's a lot of reasons, both personally professionally and spiritually, why Billy is against the assisted dying thing."

Coronation Street's Aadi Alahan is left horrified next week as Amy Barlow uncovers his affair with Courtney Vance.

Show bosses have cast former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis in the role of Courtney, a married woman who takes a shine to Aadi in upcoming episodes.

The storyline starts this week when Aadi starts working for Courtney's husband Darren, a business client of Dev.

Aadi hopes to learn more about the business world through working with Darren, but the disappointing reality of his job sees him becoming a personal chauffeur for Courtney.

Courtney, who feels bored and neglected by her husband, makes the most of this new connection and seduces Aadi.

Next week, Aadi tries to shift his focus back to the job and hopes to show Darren some figures that he has been working on for the business.

Darren seems uninterested and announces that, yet again, Aadi's job for the day is to look after Courtney.

Courtney is delighted and tells Aadi that she'd like to have sex with him again that day.

Later, Amy arrives at Number 7 to pick up some paperwork for Dev, now that he's her boss at the Corner Shop.

Amy can't believe her eyes when she finds a half-naked Aadi in a compromising position with Courtney.

A couple of days later, Aadi is mortified when Dev encourages him to keep an ear out for any gossip, as rumours suggest that Courtney is having an affair.

Courtney then presents Aadi with a gift, suggestively ordering him to see her later and make sure he's wearing it.

Totally oblivious, Darren tells Aadi that he's grateful to him for looking after Courtney so well.

Amy decides that she's had enough of the situation, so when Courtney cheekily refuses to pay for a drink in the Corner Shop, she loses it and warns her to stop using Aadi.

As Aadi watches the row unfold, whose side will he take?
