    MONDAY. 25th

At Smithy Cottage, excitement is high as Marlon's due home!

As April puts up decorations to welcome her dad, Rhona braces herself for the changes ahead.

Though her mum Mary reassures her exhausted daughter she's there to help her with Marlon's care and with running the busy family home is Rhona taking on too much?

In hospital, Marlon bids an emotional goodbye to the nursing staff who've looked after him since his stroke.

Later, Marlon arrives in the village, with the help of a paramedic. Chas and Cain watch on, delighted to see their cousin is home at last.

Will the family manage to navigate a new normal?

At the HOP, Kim's hopping mad when she arrives to find her staff picketing about zero-hours contracts!

It's not a good look and Kim wants Jai to sort it out immediately.

As she orders Jai to get the employees back to their work stations, Kim's stunned by his reaction?

A jokey conversation between Kerry and Amelia could signal trouble ahead.

The usually sunny teen isn't impressed when Kerry laughs about the amount of filters Amelia uses on her photos.

    Is Amelia OK?

    TUESDAY 26th

Most people wouldn't give two hoots about having to pitch in at work but Kim Tate thinks she's above all that.

But with her workforce striking over the planned introduction of zero-hours contracts, Kim's got no staff.

At the HOP, she's forced roll up her sleeves and wait tables. And to her utter humiliation, she finds herself serving an old friend of hers who's popped in for coffee!

Fuming, Kim wants the problem sorted.

When Laurel and Jai team up and present their idea to Kim, arguing against the use of zero hours contracts, what will Kim say?

Later, proud of Jai's handling of the situation, excited Laurel pops over to Holdgate where she tells Jai she wants them to get back together properly.

It's all Jai's wanted for weeks!

At Smithy everyone's getting used to having Marlon home.

As April enjoys spending some time with her beloved dad, she happily helps him to a drink of water.

But the sweet moment turns into a horrifying scenario when Marlon starts choking!

Terrified, April shouts for Rhona who swiftly clears Marlon's airways.

It's a humiliating ordeal for the dad who's convinced he's best off back in hospital while April ? who feared her dad was having another stroke ? decides she wants to be anywhere else but at home.

    WEDNESDAY 27th

    Jai couldn't be any happier.

He's back with Laurel and he's working again. His life is finally back on track!

At Take A Vow, where his sister Priya works, he's helping out when his boss Kim arrives, instantly souring the mood.

She's furious about the zero hours contracts fiasco and after giving Jai a mouthful, she throws his coat on the floor in disgust and storms out!

Needing a coffee following Kim's outburst, Jai takes Laurel to the cafe only to realise his wallet is missing.

Presuming it's been left at Take A Vow, the couple return and start searching.

To Jai's horror his wallet is found, stuffed down the back of a chair, with a bag of drugs close by!

When Laurel demands an explanation and her recovering addict boyfriend struggles to find the words, she takes his reaction as a sign of guilt and decides Jai's using again.

Jai reckons Kim's framed him out of spite but exasperated Laurel, and his sister Priya, have heard it all before?

So who's right? Who owns the drugs?

Elsewhere, Rhona tries to mediate between Marlon and April. The father and daughter fare much better when they're left alone to talk.

As an emotional conversation unfolds, can April persuade her poorly dad he's not a burden? Will humiliated Marlon agree to stay on at home rather than return to hospital?

It's moving in day for Ethan and Marcus whose relationship is moving at breakneck speed.

Can stressed-out Ethan stop his dad Charles from winding up Marcus?

    THURSDAY 28th

A horrible attack has taken place landing Billy Fletcher in hospital.

As his wife Dawn and her dad, Will, gather around his bedside they're shocked to hear Billy's account of the horrific crime which he claims was racially motivated.

Although Dawn and Will are convinced Billy will see justice served, he's not so sure.

Meanwhile, in the police station, lawyer Ethan's been called in to represent a guy called Jordan who's been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Having accepted the case and interviewed Jordan, Ethan's aghast when he sees an image of the alleged victim who's been beaten black and blue. It's Billy.

As Ethan declares that he knows the victim and suggests Jordan may want to seek alternative counsel, Jordan insists he's fine to proceed.

Will Ethan follow Harriet's advice to withdraw from the case?

    Elsewhere, Jai's ordeal continues.

He's desperate to get Laurel to believe that he hasn't relapsed and that the drugs found in Take A Vow weren't his.

To his sheer relief, a calmer Laurel accepts his truth.

But their reconciliation doesn't last long.

Later, Jai's dad Rishi drops his son in it when he tells Laurel about a recent close call that saw Jai almost relapse.

As Laurel's anger boils over, she lays into Jai, furious that she almost put her kids at risk by taking Jai back.

Jai's in pieces as he realises his happy-ever-after has fallen apart.

Things get even worse as Kim looks set to fire him?

At the HOP, Jai does himself no favours by he kicking off at his boss, accusing her of planting drugs on him.

How will their bitter confrontation end?

And will Jai end up relapsing in the wake of all the heartache?

In the Woolpack, obsessed Noah is chuffed to run in to Chloe.

But when she leaves her phone unattended he pockets it!

What the heck is he up to?

    FRIDAY 29th

It's been slog slog slog since at Smithy since Marlon had a stroke.

Rhona's been run ragged with hospital visits, the kids and running the house.

And when Marlon came home things got worse before they got better.

Now, however, the family are getting used to the new normal.

But when Charity tells Marlon ? who's still got a long way to go with his recovery ? he's going to have to go on to statutory sick pay, the poorly pub cook panics about how they're going to survive.

Cue Rhona who's been into work at the vets for the first time since Marlon's stroke.

It's clear she's loved every second of it. When she suggests returning on a part-time basis, can the couple find a way to make it work?

At the HOP Kim lives to regret allowing Jai to keep his job. He and Laurel are at each others' throats which is no good for trade.

Is someone set to get the chop?

Elsewhere, Ethan worries about taken on the assault case, and Noah continues to hound Chloe.
