Why would anybody want anything to do with Al?

    Scheming Al

Belle is feeling dissatisfied with her work at the B&B and starts to dream bigger. And businessman Al, who?s just received yet another job rejection, can?t help but be impressed by her plans.

But what we?ll see as the week progresses is Al paying a little bit too much attention to Belle?s schemes. And what an oblivious Belle fails to see is that Al is trying to steal her ideas and pass them off as his own.

    MONDAY 11th

The time has come for murderous Meena Jutla to face the music and she's excited about her moment in the spotlight.

It's a totally different story however for the villagers many of whom have been severely affected by Meena's crimes.

They're on edge, hoping that the murderer will remain behind bars where she belongs. They want to see justice served for the loved ones they've lost and for the harm and havoc she's caused.

But Meena's a master manipulator. She managed to conduct her crimes in plain sight while working as a nurse at the local surgery. And she's ready to put on a show.

Grieving dad Liam is the first to take the stand. He's in tears as he recounts the harrowing tale of his teenage daughter Leanna's murder. On her 18th birthday, she was thrown from a bridge by Meena.

The jury seems sympathetic to the GP's plight but things change when Meena's defense team accuses him of having an affair with her.

Furious at the accusation and infuriated by Meena's meek and mild act, he flips and lashes out at her across the courtroom.

Will the jury turn on Liam following his furious outburst?

Elsewhere, it's Rhona's birthday and with her world in freefall following Marlon's stroke, she's not really up for celebrating. But April wants to make it special for her stepmum and pulls off a surprise party in the Woolpack.

Cain heads off to the hospital to see Marlon in Rhona's stead but it doesn't sit right with the vet who hasn't missed a moment at her fiance's bedside so far. Later, she's desperate to see Marlon ? but so is his daughter April.

Knowing Marlon doesn't want April to see him in such a poorly state, Rhona's forced to cover up the truth. Cobbling together an excuse to fob her off she tells April there'll be another time.

At Marlon's bedside, Rhona tells him his daughter is missing him like mad. Can she get the family man to change his mind about April coming in?

    TUESDAY

The moment Manpreet Sharma has been dreading has arrived. It's time for her to face her serial killer sister Meena in court.

There's no love lost between the once close siblings whose relationship nose-dived when Meena kidnapped Manpreet and confessed to a string of murders before attempting to kill her too!

Knowing that Manpreet lied about an altercation between her and Liam, Meena has dirt on her sister and is determined to drag her down into the mud with her.

Refusing to be rattled by gloating Meena, Manpreet tries to stay strong as the defense team paints the GP out to be a seasoned liar.

Will Manpreet manage to get her message across and convince the jury of her sister is guilty of the long list of crimes?

Later, back in her cell Meena is on a high after the day in court.

When her barrister advises her not to take the stand, petulant Meena refuses to listen. She's got a plan brewing and reckons it's all coming together nicely.

With prison officer Ian wrapped around her evil little finger, all Meena needs to do is rehearse her lines ahead of her performance in the dock and she's determined to nail it.

Up at the hospital, Rhona's made progress with Marlon and has managed to get him to agree to a visit from April.

It's a huge moment for Marlon who was found on the floor of his home in the throes of a stroke by his teenage daughter.

April's thrilled to see Marlon and her confidence quickly puts him at ease. In the corridor, exhausted Rhona is moved to tears by April's bravery in the face of her dad's vulnerability.

    WEDNESDAY

Having been banged up for weeks on end, Meena's had ages to prepare for her moment to speak out in court. And she's been looking forward to it.

So when her barrister advised her not to take the stand during her trial, after days of listening to various witnesses speak out, Meena refused. But will she live to regret her decision?

Planning to make out she's meek and mild-mannered, Meena arrives in the courtroom fresh from her prison cell where she's been rehearsing her performance like mad.

Ever the master manipulator she soon has everyone hanging off her every word as the likes of Liam, Leyla and co watch on in horror. The jury lap up the act.

Will the serial killer's act save herself from a life behind bars?

    At Smithy, Rhona is exhausted.

Since Marlon had his stroke, she's been juggling a gazillion plates. In between visits to see her fiance in hospital, Rhona's been looking after the kids and her mum and attempting to hold down her job. It's just too much.

As Bear pitches in and heads to the hospital to spend time with Marlon, Rhona is crumbling at home. She's determined to hide her struggle from her family but can how much longer can the vet keep up the act?

Elsewhere. Belle begins a new journey and starts training to become a meditation teacher. She's bored at the B&B and wants more from her life.

    THURSDAY

So the jury's heard the lot.

All of the witnesses have spoken and given their truth about Meena. The serial killer herself has told her version of it all and now the jury must reveal their verdicts?

What will they find her guilty of Leanna's murder?

    Andrea Tate's murder?

    Ben Tucker's murder?

    Victoria Sugden's attempted murder?

Manpreet Sharma and Vinny Dingle's attempted murder and kidnap?

Dawn and Billy's wedding day kidnap?

Possession of a firearm and Leyla's attempted murder?

    The assault on Harriet Finch?

Will Meena return to her cell and live out the rest of her days behind bars?

Will Liam and co see justice served for the crimes and killings Meena committed?

Will justice prevail or will the trial come to a shocking, unfair end?

Elsewhere, Al's impressed by Belle's savvy when she lays down some ground rules after agreeing to go into partnership with him.

In the hospital, Marlon is thrilled when he utters his first whole sentence. It's a milestone moment for the dad who suffered a stroke on his birthday.

    FRIDAY

It's been a long week in court but no one could have guessed what would happen when the jury delivered their verdicts on serial killer Meena's crimes.

The scenes in the courtroom were so shocking that it's all over the papers - and everyone in the village is talking about it!

Has Meena been put behind bars for life?

Can the loved ones of Meena's victims finally move on?

Find out how those involved have been affected?

Elsewhere, Paddy notices that Rhona's really struggling.

As he pays a visit to her hospitalised fiancee, his best mate, Marlon, the vet gets thinking.

Later, back in the village, Rhona talks to Paddy about her plans for Marlon's eventual home-coming.

But with the mum already stretched by the demands of juggling a family, work and supporting Marlon ? who's had a stroke ? is Rhona biting off more than she can chew?

Rhona's chuffed when Paddy outlines an idea which he hopes will cheer up Marlon.

Elsewhere, Leyla's clearly trying to hide something when Wendy quizzes her. Belle finds out that Priya's upset with her.
