Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw) gets to the end of his tether in tonight?s Holby City, as the stresses of work mount up when he battles for one particular patient.

We met Harry Carabello (Harry Giubileo) in the last episode, and this week Fletch is concerned as Harry keeps having blackouts. He needs surgery to stop this happening, but in an overstretched hospital his case isn?t considered a priority and his operation keeps being cancelled.

Fletch promises Harry that he?ll make sure he gets the operation he needs. Just as he thinks he has all the resources in place, Eli (Davood Ghadami) informs him they need the theatre for a more urgent case.

A frustrated Fletch goes to Jac (Rosie Marcel) to demand that Harry gets the surgery he needs and there?s an almighty showdown as Fletch?s anger boils over. And as Harry?s condition deteriorates, Fletch decides his own future may not be with Holby at all.

Russ (Simon Slater) is surprised when his daughter Billie (Delainey Hayles) turns up at the hospital. She says she?s there to interview female doctors for a school project, and Russ asks Hanssen (Guy Henry) to put in a good word with Jac Naylor, ?About the only woman in this hospital who?s worth talking to,? according to Russ.

Hanssen soon discovers there?s more to Billie?s visit than she?s letting on, but will he agree to keep her secret, or will he have to tell Russ?

Nicky (Belinda Owusu) is finding juggling motherhood and work is an impossible task and it?s clear where her heart lies - and it?s not with baby Juliet. Amelia (Lucy Briggs-Owen) is shocked when Nicky just walks off when summoned by Jac, with hardly a second thought about leaving her baby. But is Amelia really the answer to Nicky?s prayers when the desperate mum needs help?

And as Dominic (David Ames) and Sacha (Bob Barrett) settle down to work on their new research project, it?s not long before their different approaches to work start to irritate them both. Is their research partnership doomed?
