Freya Van Dyke joins the cast.

    Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Freya Van Dyke will be playing Amy Greenwood's daughter Zara Selwyn when the show returns in 2022.

The first-look promo for next year's episodes reveal teenager Zara will be arriving in Erinsborough to see Amy (Jacinta Stapleton), appearing to spell the end of Amy's polyamorous relationship with Levi Canning and Ned Willis.

Posting on Instagram, Freya shared a picture of her as Zara and expressed her excitement at being part of the Ramsay Street soap.

"Super excited to announce I've joined the cast of @neighbours playing the role of Zara Selwyn!" she wrote.

While not much is known about why Zara decides to come to Erinsborough or what her initial storylines will be, Amy appears to be determined to put her daughter first in the 2022 trailer.

"Right now, it just needs to be Zara and me," she says.

Zara isn't the only new face showing up in early 2022, with "ultimate mystery girl" Freya Wozniak (played by new series regular Phoebe Roberts) set to be introduced as well.

Amanda Holden is also playing guest character Harriet ? who is Harlow's aunt and the sister of the late Prue Wallace ? as part of a special storyline taking place in London.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor was also seen filming for Harlow's UK storyline.

The show returns in the UK and Australia on Monday, January 3 ? but with 10 Peach sticking with its schedule of four episodes a week, it means it won't be long before the UK moves ahead of Australia.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours newcomer Zara plots big trouble for Levi in new story
Has she sabotaged her mother's polyamorous relationship?

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...-levi-trouble/

Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.

Neighbours' polyamory storyline is going to take another twist later this month as Zara Selwyn tries to cause trouble for her mum Amy Greenwood.

Since turning up in Erinsborough recently, Zara has struggled to connect with her mother, especially since she's busy navigating her new relationship with both Levi Canning and Ned Willis.

In upcoming scenes, Toadie Rebecchi and Susan Kennedy tell Amy that Zara needs to get a job if she wants to stay, and Ned offers her part-time work at Harold's in order to keep the peace.

Meanwhile, Zara takes Hendrix Greyson's advice and asks Amy to cool things off with her boyfriends just for now so they can bond, which she agrees to.

Unfortunately, Zara sees Amy giving them both a goodbye hug and interprets it as them still being together, so she takes a drastic decision and tells everyone that Levi tried to kiss her.

Amy is incensed and gets Zara to confess that she made it all up. She then gives an (empty) apology to Levi but the damage might have been done as Levi is questioning whether this three-person relationship is really worth all the drama, especially as Amy is the only one dating two people.

The UK is airing new episodes of Neighbours ahead of Australia as of this upcoming Friday (January 7), when episodes will sync up with those airing in Australia after previously being around four weeks behind. It's not yet clear how long the UK will stay ahead.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, January 13 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Monday, January 17 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours' Toadie and Amy to fall out following Zara's arrival
Zara's behaviour is causing trouble for Toadie and Amy.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...fall-out-zara/

    Neighbours spoilers follow.

Following Zara's (Freya Van Dyke) arrival in Erinsborough, a lot of relationships are on the rocks in Neighbours.

First, Zara walks in on her mother Amy (Jacinta Stapleton) in bed with Levi Canning (Richie Morris) and Ned Willis (Ben Hall), throwing a wrench into their polyamorous relationship.

As a result, Toadie is not happy with Zara, which leads to him having a falling out with Amy.

Toadie is annoyed by Zara's selfish and entitled behaviour and he loses his temper with her, while Zara plots her revenge against them: giving a jelly shot to Nell which is full vodka.

Toadie does all he can by warning Amy that Zara's behaviour is unacceptable and encourages her to discipline her daughter. But when Zara tells Amy that Toadie is being judgemental, it causes a huge argument between Amy and Toadie.

All Amy wants to do is reconnect with Zara and bond with her, and their relationship is already rocky due to Zara's horrified reaction towards Amy's polyamorous relationship.

Amy attempts to get Zara to settle in properly and says that she can only stay if she gets a job, with encouragement from Toadie and Susan. But, getting a job isn't going to get this troubled teen to give up her ways.

Zara later causes trouble for her mum's relationship, telling everyone that Levi tried to kiss her after asking Amy to cool things off with her boyfriends.

There's always family drama on Neighbours, but Zara's behaviour is hurting a lot of Amy's friends and particularly her boyfriends Levi and Ned. That leads Amy to wonder if the three-way relationship is really worth it, rather than considering that it could be Zara who's the real problem.

But, a mother's love for her child is not to be contested. So, how will the gang deal with Zara going forward, and will she learn the error of her ways?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, January 13 and Friday, January 14 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Monday, January 17 and Tuesday, January 18 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

I hate everything about Zara's character. I also hate that Amy called her JuJu(zuzu? Shooshoo? Idk) it sounded stupid. I hope this character leaves soon!

Neighbours newcomer Zara Selwyn to face more big trouble at Erinsborough High
The teen finds herself blamed for a cruel prank.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...-zara-trouble/

    Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Zara Selwyn finds herself in even more trouble in next week's episodes.

Since her arrival, troublemaker Zara (Freya Van Dyke) has had an eventful time in Erinsborough, including lying about Levi Canning trying to kiss her, being responsible for Nell consuming a jelly shot filled with vodka and setting off the school's fire alarm.

But when Jane Harris (Annie Jones) becomes the victim of a cruel prank, Zara is the school's prime suspect despite not being the one responsible.

In upcoming scenes on Channel 5 and 10 Peach, Jane is increasingly frustrated at Zara's attitude at Erinsborough High and becomes stern with her, hoping the teen will get her act together.

However, this has the opposite effect and leaves Zara only more resentful.

In response, Zara shares some big gossip about Jane that she heard from her mother Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton) to her new friends Aubrey and Sadie.

It doesn't take long before that gossip spreads around the school, and things get further out of hand when Aubrey and Sadie, wanting revenge for Zara's sake, embarrass Jane in class with a mean prank.

Zara is highly amused with the prank and learns that her friends were behind it, but after some investigating, Jane believes Zara was responsible for the prank.

Zara denies having anything to do with the joke, but also refuses to snitch on Aubrey and Sadie, meaning that she remains the prime suspect.

Will Zara be punished for something she didn't do?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, February 8 and Wednesday, February 9 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK). The scenes air on Wednesday, February 16 and Thursday, February 17 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Yeah Zara is a very nasty character. Imagine not being concerned at all about Nell drinking Vodka

Neighbours teen Zara Selwyn to come under suspicion over school fire
Erinsborough High School's Jane Harris sets her sights on punishing the youngster.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...n-school-fire/

    Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours' Zara Selwyn is set to come under suspicion over the school fire next week, as even the teen's mother Amy Greenwood starts to doubt her innocence.

In scenes scheduled to start airing in the UK on February 15, before continuing on in the following day's episode, Jane Harris (Annie Jones), the acting principal of Erinsborough High School, will be seen reaching her breaking point, having endured constant pranks and teasing from her students.

Convinced that Zara (Freya Van Dyke) is the ringleader, she comes down hard on the youngster, and vows to see her punished, suggesting that she won't rest until she's made it so. There's no way Zara can blag her way out of it this time.

Later in the week, Amy is at her wits end with Zara, who refuses to accept responsibility for yet another scandal when some anonymous arsonist torches some rubbish bins at school.

Amy (Jacinta Stapleton) wants to believe her daughter, but can't help thinking she must have been involved. Is Zara just a troublesome teen, or do her behavioural problems run much deeper than that?

Viewers will find out this week that Zara wasn't behind the fire, her new friends Aubrey and Sadie were, and because she's so keen to impress them, she's not about to rat them out. Will she go down for something she didn't do to avoid snitching?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, February 15 and Wednesday, February 16 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK). The scenes air on Thursday, February 24 and Monday, February 28 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours confirms dangerous fire as Zara's storyline escalates
Zara and Mackenzie find themselves trapped at the school.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...ire-storyline/

    Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours sees a dangerous fire break out at Erinsborough High as Zara Selwyn's storyline escalates in next week's episodes.

In upcoming scenes, Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton) continues to consider sending Zara (Freya Van Dyke) back to Cairns following a number of incidents that include two fires, one outside the school and one by Jane Harris' house.

Zara insists she had nothing to do with the fires, although there's hardly anyone that's willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

The situation goes from bad to worse for Zara after a party held by Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly), Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) and Freya Wozniak (Phoebe Roberts) at Number 24.

Mackenzie and her boyfriend Hendrix Greyson (Ben Turland) have a fun time at the party, but the next morning, Mackenzie makes a shocking discovery about Zara and Hendrix that might force Hendrix to tell the truth about how Zara kissed him.

Mackenzie and Hendrix angrily confront Zara over this new discovery, and Zara eventually learns that her friends Sadie Rodwell (Emerald Chan) and Aubrey Laing (Etoile Little) have been plotting against her for weeks and were behind the previous fires.

At the school, Zara is devastated. She has no friends and everyone she knows is increasingly turning against her. She's found by Mackenzie.

A few moments later, Zara and Mackenzie's lives are in danger when yet another fire breaks out, this time inside the school.

After Zara safely makes it out of the school, she once again finds herself being blamed. Zara says Aubrey and Sadie were behind the fire, but her accusations backfire on her leading to the possibility that she will be punished once again...

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, February 28, Tuesday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 2 at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK). The scenes air on Monday, March 14, Tuesday, March 15 and Wednesday, March 16 at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
