Neighbours confirms Christmas break - here's when the soap goes off air

Neighbours will take another Christmas break this year, Digital Spy can confirm.
The Aussie soap will air its final episode of the year on Channel 5 on Friday, December 10 at 1pm and 6pm.
Neighbours returns for the new year on Monday, January 3, which means that the show will be off our screens for three weeks in total.
Neighbours' UK airings have been slowly catching up to the Australian broadcasts over the past few months.
UK fans started the year four weeks behind Australia, but the gap has gradually shortened due to 10 Peach dropping the show down to four episodes a week. Channel 5 has continued to show five.
Digital Spy can confirm that the end-of-year finale will air in Australia on Thursday, December 9 ? just one day ahead of the UK.
Neighbours will then take a three-week Christmas break in Australia too, returning on January 3, which means that the UK won't be falling behind again.
Spoilers for the finale will be revealed nearer the time, but fans should brace themselves for a cliffhanger to end the year in dramatic style.
In 2020, Neighbours took a shorter break over Christmas, disappearing from Channel 5 screens for a week and a half. Over in Australia, the show didn't take a break at all.
In 2018 and 2019, Neighbours aired continuously over the festive season ? including on Christmas Day ? after Channel 5 promoted all-year-round broadcasts for the show. This arrangement now appears to have ended.
Elsewhere in Soapland, Home and Away will be taking a six-week break on Channel 5, with its UK finale scheduled for Monday, November 22 at 12.30pm.
In Australia, Home and Away's season finale has been scheduled in for Thursday, November 25 at 7pm on Channel 7.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
