Emmerdale has confirmed that Chloe Harris will return to the village next week.

Chloe has been absent from the ITV soap since last month, when she headed off to Scotland for some time out with her friend Sarah Sugden.

In upcoming episodes, Chloe and Sarah return to the village together.

Mackenzie Boyd, who's the father of Chloe's unborn baby, isn't pleased to see her and demands to know what's going on.

Chloe explains that she's only back for a medical appointment and will soon be moving to Scotland permanently.

Mack is clearly relieved over the news, but the damage may have already been done as his sister Moira Dingle is watching on with curiosity.

After watching Mack and Chloe interact so suspiciously, Moira is sure that there's more to this situation.

Moira decides to let it lie for now, but is Emmerdale already dropping hints over how the truth will be exposed later this year?

Show bosses have previously confirmed that Mack's secret will be exposed around the time of his wedding to Charity, which has been booked for April 20.

Emmerdale's executive producer Jane Hudson said in December: "We know that Mackenzie is the father of Chloe's baby and again, that's another secret in the village that's probably not going to be kept secret for long.

"We have got Charity and Mackenzie's wedding on the cards. I think we all know weddings don't always go very smoothly and Chloe's baby will be due around the time of the wedding, so you can put the pieces together yourselves and figure out what might happen somewhere around the wedding date and the birth date.

"It will be explosive for Charity and Mackenzie."
