Next week on Casualty, Ffion gets life-changing news, leaving her with a decision to make over Jan, while Ethan and Matthew come to blows.

Here's a full collection of the seven biggest moments coming up:

1. Jan is given renewed hope over her marriage

Jan is intrigued when Teddy arrives with flowers from Ffion, which read "thinking of you", and assumes they must be a romantic gesture.

Despite being confused by Ffion?s supposed sudden U-turn on their marriage, Jan is left feeling hopeful for the first time in ages and makes a beeline for her wife in the ED.

However, Ffion is still dismissive of Jan and explains that the flowers were sent to the entire paramedic crew following the loss of Lev and Fenisha.

2. Ffion gets devastating news

Ffion finds herself in the ED after getting injured on a job, but her day takes a dark turn when Dylan notices something which concerns him.

Dylan explains to Ffion the scans have confirmed a mass on her breast, which supports some earlier suspicions he had while examining her.

As Ffion processes the news, Jan urges them to be positive, but Dylan's findings, along with Ffion?s family history of breast cancer, all point to the same conclusion.

3. Ethan faces the music

The news is out about Ethan's decision to give up baby Bodhi, leaving Matthew particularly infuriated.

Oblivious to how quickly his private affairs have spread around the hospital, Ethan is hurt when Rash reveals that he knows about Bodhi too.

Frustrated and desperate to distract himself with work, Ethan bins his Huntington?s medication and works with Matthew to treat expectant parents Eli and Nikki, who have been involved in a handmade cannon explosion.

4. Jan and Iain clash

Emotional following the news, Ffion and Jan forget their history and agree to move back into together.

Jan shares this with Iain, who offers his sympathies alongside some frank advice regarding their living situation.

Iain is unsure that they should be moving back in together so quickly, without resolving any of their problems, but his honesty only serves to infuriate Jan.

Angry at Iain?s lack of support, Jan heads back to the ED to be with Ffion, but she's been doing some thinking as well.

5. Ffion makes a sad decision

Having had some time to think, Ffion tells a devastated Jan that she has reevaluated their situation and can't move forward after all.

Unable to forgive Jan for her lies regarding Ross, Ffion refuses to let Jan use her diagnosis as a way back into her life.

Ffion then leaves the hospital feeling hopeful, convinced that breast cancer isn?t a death sentence, but certain that her marriage is over for good.

6. Matthew and Ethan come to blows

Despite working together on a case, Ethan and Matthew quickly come to a head with Ethan when the topic of Bodhi arises.

When Ethan accuses Matthew of wanting Bodhi himself, the tension between the pair rises, until another angry confrontation breaks out in the corridors.

Matthew admits that the reason he?s so angry is that he promised Fenisha before she died that he would make sure Ethan and Bodhi were happy. Ethan insists that Matthew should have made no such promises and when their argument becomes physical, Dylan is forced to intervene.

7. Matthew makes a big admission

Following his fight with Ethan, Matthew begins to see the situation from a different angle.

Touched by his patient Eli?s story, Matthew realises how tough Ethan?s decision to give up fatherhood must have been and decides to reach out to him.

This time, however, he assures Ethan that Fenisha was completely in love with him, despite his best efforts to change her mind in her final moments. Will this prompt Ethan to reconsider his future?

Casualty airs these scenes on Saturday, August 28 at 9.30pm on BBC One.
