    Felicity 'Flick' Newman (Jacqui Purvis)

Sydney Daily Telegraph article - new character Felicity 'Flick' Newman (sister to Cash Newman), to be played by Jacqui Purvis.

"Jacqui's Right At Home In The Bay.

Given it is always summer in Summer Bay, Jacqui Purvis was not fazed about shooting in her swimsuit.

The 25-year-old actor is the newest face to join the cast of Home and Away, which is shot at Sydney's Palm Beach.

"For me it wasn't a huge deal," Purvis told The Daily Telegraph about filming in her swimsuit. "To me, that is the character, she would just run around in her bikini and it makes sense.

"Also, we are very lucky with the cast and crew, they are so empathetic towards it and I was very comfortable on set."

Purvis joins Home and Away as Felicity 'Flick' Newman and will make her debut on air this month.

She may be familiar to viewers from her work on rival TV soap Neighbours.

"Flick is a firecracker," Purvis said. "She has non-stop energy, an abundance of confidence, she is fun, flirty but also under all of that she is an incredibly vulnerable, sensitive and intelligent woman. That is the whole fun of playing her, she is a real joy because you get to play with all of those layers."

Purvis described landing the job as "a dream" at a time when the industry is suffering greatly due to the ongoing pandemic.

"It means consistency and it means I will get to move that acting muscle every day, which is so valuable," she said.

"I will get to act every single day, doing my dream job each day and that is more than I could have ever asked for."

Home and Away spoilers: Newcomer Felicity is cast as a love interest for Tane

    https://metro.co.uk/2021/08/05/home-...o=newsnow-feed

Try to stay cool this Summer as Home and Away heats up with a new cast member.

Joining the established cast is Jacqui Purvis (Neighbours) as Felicity Newman, a firecracker with an abundance of confidence and no filter ? which can get her into a lot of trouble.

Finding herself on top of a bar dancing the night away, Felicity?s antics end up attracting the attention of Tane (Ethan Browne), one of the Parata brothers.

Carefree and easy going, Felicity is prepared to lay back, enjoy the ride and see where life takes her. But it wasn?t always like that?

Growing up in rural New South Wales, Felicity was only vaguely aware that times were tough for her family.

She was partially sheltered from the reality of life by her older brother Cash, who was always there to brighten her day and put a smile on her face.

On what we can expect from her character, Jacqui told Metro.co.uk: ?Felicity is a firecracker. She has non-stop energy, an abundance of confidence, and no filter; which can, at times, get her into a lot of trouble.

?However, under all that is a vulnerable, sensitive, intelligent woman, who has had a very hard upbringing.

?At the beginning she is there for her brother, but what draws her in closer, apart from family, is definitely a certain someone, so the Bay might have to get used to seeing Flick around??

There?s a lot more going on too as the mystery around who killed Susie intensifies ? and a devastating and explosive crash.

Looks like it?s going to be quite the summer!

I agree that Felicity won't be the stalker. I think it is going to be her workmate from the club/bar, who we saw in tonight's Aust episode for the first time (the character is called Annie Sherman & is played by Megan Smart).

Yeah she seemed quite upset at Tane, especially as she supposedly never met him?!

Is Felicity behind Home and Away's deadly toxic chemical attack?
''She feels like the whole world is against her.''

    https://www.nowtolove.com.au/celebri...l-attack-69535

Is Felicity responsible for the deadly chemical attack at Salt? Although she pleads innocence in Home And Away this week, more evidence is found that links her to the crime.

Convinced Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) is responsible for the attack that has left his uncle, Tane (Ethan Browne), at death's door, Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) starts an online campaign against her. This, in turn, sparks a graffiti attack ? the words "Toxic Felicity" are emblazoned across her caravan.

"Felicity is feeling stressed, isolated and anxious," Jacqui tells TV WEEK. "She feels like the whole world is against her. But she's staying strong and is trying to get through this hard time with pure grit, as Felicity does."

When she heads to the police station to lodge a complaint, she sees her new friend Anne (Megan Smart) leaving after confessing to Detective Nasser (Julian Maroun) that she lied about being with Felicity on the night of the attack.

In a fresh search of Felicity's caravan, Nasser finds a bottle of the same drugs that were used to knock out Tane. Felicity cries that she's been set up!

Police officer Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) watches helplessly as Nasser leads his sister away, then is stunned when a toxicology report confirms the link between Felicity and Tane. Could he have been wrong about her all along?

"Cash wants to believe Flick when she says she's been set up, but there are just too many red flags for him to be able to back her completely," Nicholas explains.

Alone and desperate, Felicity turns to Anne for support again. But when she later notices a mention of the burned pesticides receipt on Nikau's webpage ? something only a handful of people knew about ? she starts to wonder if the attacker might be a lot closer to her than she suspected.

Has someone she hurt years ago returned to take revenge? Or is Tane's past coming back to haunt him and she's just caught in the crossfire?

"Whoever it is, she wants answers!" Jacqui says.

Home and Away reveals shock kidnap twist for Felicity Newman
    "It was you all along."

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/hom...-kidnap-twist/

Home and Away spoilers for UK viewers follow.

Home and Away has teased yet another surprising twist in Tane Parata's stalker storyline.

In a brand new trailer for upcoming Australian episodes, the soap has revealed that Felicity Newman will soon fall victim to Tane's stalker herself ? despite many in Summer Bay believing she's the culprit.

After she discovers the real identity of Tane's stalker, things take a worrying turn for Felicity when she's kidnapped, before coming to in an abandoned building.

In yesterday's (October 21) triple-bill in Australia, viewers saw Felicity confront Anne Sherman over her behaviour, realising that it had been Anne framing her all along.

When the police arrive to arrest Felicity and find her missing, suspicion mounts against her even further. Felicity soon discovers Anne's motives, but will she manage to escape and convince the Bay of the truth?

These scenes will air in the UK next year.

Opening up about her character's dizzying ordeal, actress Jacqui Purvis recently explained that Felicity is determined to get through it "with pure grit".

"Felicity is feeling stressed, isolated and anxious," she admitted. "She feels like the whole world is against her. But she's staying strong and is trying to get through this hard time with pure grit, as Felicity does."

The odds are stacked against Felicity as it stands, with her own brother Cash wary of her intentions after a toxicology report wrongly confirms a link between Felicity and Tane.

"Cash wants to believe Flick when she says she's been set up," Nicholas Cartwright, who plays Cash, said. "But there are just too many red flags for him to be able to back her completely."

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.

EXCLUSIVE: Felicity spirals out of control as she stops at nothing to prove her father was murdered in the explosive final week of Home and Away
''When she starts to drink it only amplifies her anger and depression.''

    https://www.nowtolove.com.au/celebri...murdered-70016

At odds with her brother over her father's tragic death, Felicity decides to drown her sorrows in a spiral of self-pity this week ? and no one will get in her way.On the beach, Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) and Tane enjoy spending time together until a text from her brother Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) changes her mood.

Their father's memorial is approaching, and Cash has made plans to visit his gravesite. Felicity, however, wants nothing to do with it. Despite his death being ruled as a suicide, Felicity believes he was murdered.

"She believes her dad was murdered because her dad would never choose to leave his children," Felicity tells TV WEEK. "So in her mind someone must have killed him."

With no luck getting through to his sister, Cash leaves town for the memorial ? leaving Felicity to spiral out of control. Jasmine plays the role of babysitter attempting to keep Felicity's antics to a minimum as she traipses through town intoxicated.

When she's not looking, Felicity wanders off with a group of unknown men. Fed up, Jasmine attempts to drag her away but Felicity fires up and orders her to "back off!", before partying on.

"Felicity's mental state is slowly deteriorating," Jacqui explains. "She is in denial, and hurt. When she starts to drink it only amplifies her anger and depression.

"So in this moment she says a lot of things she will soon regret."

Later, Jasmine relays her night to Cash over the phone. The policeman is worried about his sister and what he's just discovered about their father might send her over the edge?
