Tyrone is in an impossible situation. Fiz spends the night in a police cell, sticking to her story that she started the fire. Evelyn urges Tyrone to make her see sense, pointing out that Hope needs professional help. Alina is unhappy about the cover-up pointing out that Hope could cause someone harm and it will be his fault. Tyrone tells the police it was Hope that started the fire. Fiz demands to know why she hasn't been charged following her confession but is told that new information has come to light.

Debbie out manouvers Leanne and NickWhen Nick and Leanne refuse to up their offer for half the bistro, Debbie feigns indifference and turns them away. She then sets up a conversation with Ronnie who pretends to be a potential buyer and accidentally rings Leanne's mobile. As Leanne listens in, will she fall for the ruse? Leanne tells Nick about the phone call but guesses it was a set-up on Debbie's part.

Daisy overhears Adam telling Daniel that his house is worth ?400,000. When Daisy casually asks about Daniel, Adam's quick to remind her she has a boyfriend.
In the cafe, Sally complains to Shona about the increase in chaotic parking locally and how she got a ticket yesterday thanks to an overzealous traffic warden. Noticing Izzy's friend Fergus, Sally's embarrassed to learn that he's a traffic warden himself. Sally spots Fergus in the street and apologises for her cafe rant. But when she learns that Fergus himself issued her parking ticket, Sally loses her cool and Fergus scurries away.

Elsewher Kevin suggests to Abi that she channels her rage into writing a victim impact statement for the court.

The police inform Fiz they know Hope started the fire. Fiz tries to deny it but quickly cracks and begs them not to punish her little girl. Fiz is released with a caution and finds Tyrone waiting for her. She's furious with him for

throwing Hope to the wolves and orders him to stay away from them. Evelyn forces Tyrone and Fiz to put on a united front and explain to Hope that the police will want to talk to her about the fire.

Leanne and Nick tell Debbie they overheard how keen Ronnie was to buy into the bistro so they have found a cheaper proposition in town. In the Rovers, Ronnie's amused by Jenny's jealousy as she makes snide comments about Debbie.

Daniel calls in the Rovers where Daisy tries to impress by claiming to be a lifelong fan of Byron. But her efforts are undermined when Ryan questions why she?s been looking up Byron quotes on her iPad. Daisy's humiliated in front of Daniel.

Fiz and Tyrone deliver Hope to the police station. Evelyn acts as Hope's appropriate adult as DS Abney gently questions her about the difference between right and wrong. Hope explains how she used the nail polish remover and the candle to set light to the cot but she never meant to harm anyone. Hope's solicitor reveals she will be charged after admitting to starting the fire. Fiz and Tyrone reel to hear that she could face a trial.
Daisy collars Daniel and, in a bid to justify her Byron faux pas, pretends she's always wanted to be an English teacher. Daniel drops off some teaching books for Daisy with Ryan in the Rovers. Ryan wonders why Daisy never mentioned to him her dream of being a teacher but told Daniel. Accusing him of jealousy, Daisy flounces out. As Adam changes a battery in Bertie's toy, Daniel arrives to collect him. Sarah notices the old battery has vanished and, fearing Bertie swallowed it, Daniel scoops him up to take him to hospital. In the street, a passing Daisy offers to administer first aid, but Daniel barks at her to get out of the way and rushes off.

Nick admits to Leanne he's concerned that she and Debbie will clash working together at the bistro. Affronted by his implied sexism, Leanne insists women can be professional. But will Nick be proved right?

ELSEWHERE Adam and Sarah mind Bertie for Daniel and take him for lunch in the bistro. Watching Adam effortlessly entertaining his cousin prompts Sarah to declare she's willing to consider having a baby. Adam's surprised and delighted. Aggie offers to help Sally with her parking campaign, but soon regrets it when Sally plonks a hefty pile of paperwork in front of her.

In the Rovers, Alina's upset to hear Jenny, Sally and Tim full of sympathy for Fiz and Tyrone over the Hope situation. Feeling sorry for herself, Alina orders a double gin and tonic. As tipsy Alina emerges from the Rovers, she's hurt to see Fiz and Tyrone heading to No.9 laden with chips. Spotting her weaving about, Fiz sends Tyrone to see her home. Alina tells Tyrone she felt forgotten as he focused on Fiz and Hope. Tyrone regrets how things have worked out, saying he'd imagined they'd marry and raise a family. He's stunned when Alina agrees to try again and get married. Tyrone realises he's accidentally proposed.

DAISY REELS DANIEL IN Daniel informs Jenny that Bertie's fine and his scare was a false alarm. When Jenny mentions how her son Tom's death hit Daisy hard. Daniel apologises to Daisy for being rude and insensitive earlier. Revealing she took a first aid course after Tom's death, Daisy admits Bertie's scare brought back painful memories. Ryan tackles Daisy about their misunderstanding.

Debbie and Leanne take the fish supplier to task for trying to pull a fast one. As he departs with a flea in his ear, Nick reckons the women make a formidable team.

ELSEWHERE Brian advises Abi that her victim impact statement needs to focus on how Seb's death has affected her. He asks her to describe her feelings so that he can write them down. Sally informs Aggie she's arranged a meeting with the council about the parking problem.

Friday 20th August (1 hour episode)

As they prepare to leave for Hope's sentencing, Tyrone drops the bombshell on Fiz and Evelyn that he's engaged to Alina. At the youth court, Evelyn pours scorn on Tyrone for getting engaged by accident. Fiz feels a fool for believing it was over between them and he was putting his family first. Chesney informs Fiz that he and Gemma have agreed that Hope can't visit No.5 until they know she is no longer a danger. Fiz is crushed to realise Chesney views Hope as a danger to his children. Calling at No.9, Tyrone emotionally blames himself for wrecking everyone's lives then bursts into tears. Fiz is taken aback by his unhappiness. Fiz and Tyrone crack open the prosecco.

SALLY IS DRIVING TIM CRAZY Sally pounds the pavement in pursuit of signatures in favour of resident permits for the street. Maria's too busy to stop, while Tracy and Alya argue the move would be catastrophic for their businesses if customers can't park nearby so refuse to sign. Sally's frustrated. Steve and Tracy point out to Tim that Sally's permit plan would be disastrous for Street Cars.

LEANNE MAKES HER FEELINGS KNOWN TO IMRAN Toyah finds Imran asleep at his office desk, exhausted from working all hours on Kelly's case by himself. Toyah insists on taking him for lunch to give him a break. Over lunch in the bistro, Imran bemoans the uphill battle he has defending Kelly solo, while Corey has a huge legal team behind him. When Leanne tells Imran she's firmly on Abi's side, not Kelly's, a stressed Imran erupts. Toyah's shocked and concerned. Imran's curt with Toyah, annoyed she didn't stick up for him with Leanne.

Alya's smug to see that Daisy has ditched Ryan and set her sights on Daniel. In the Rovers, Jenny takes pity on Alya and reveals that Ryan's cheating on her didn't happen the way she thinks. Alya's intrigued.

ELSEWHERE James is in a foul mood awaiting news of his appealed police complaint. When James snaps at her, Grace tells Michael they need to start looking for a place of their own. When Michael admits he's only with Grace so that Glory can have parents who are together, Ronnie advises that it may not be the smartest option.
