Coronation Street has revealed that Corey Brent's storyline will finally come to a head next week.

Fans are hoping that Corey will face his comeuppance at last following the recent news that he'll be leaving the ITV soap.

In next week's episodes, Corey is forced to resort to desperate measures as he realises that new evidence has come to light over Seb Franklin's murder.

As the week begins, Corey continues to harass a homeless man called Stu, who has been using the incriminating backpack that he disposed of on the night of Seb and Nina Lucas's attack.

Corey demands that Stu hands over the contents of the backpack. However, with Stu feigning ignorance over its significance, Corey is unaware that Nina and Asha Alahan have already received some crucial help from him.

With Stu's assistance, Nina and Asha have given the police Corey's blood-stained clothes from the night of the attack.

Before long, Nina receives the news that the police plan to re-open the case and will arrest Corey.

When word of this gets back to Corey, his dad Stefan steps in with another shameless plan to keep him out of trouble.

Corey hides out in a secret location with Stefan as they consider their next move. Stefan then calls his friend Christian ? the father of Eli ? for some further help.

Back on the cobbles, Seb's mum Abi persuades Gary Windass to help her track down Corey and Stefan before it's too late.

Abi guesses that Stefan may well have gone to Christian for help, so suggests that they should try tracking him down first.

Gary sets off for Stefan's office in search of Christian, hoping that there'll be enough time to intervene.

Later on, Stefan orders Corey to pack his things again as Christian is on his way with a van and some cash.

When Christian pulls up with the vehicle, Stefan and Corey climb into the back.

Stefan tells Corey that he intends to get them out of the country, then he can start a new life playing for a football team abroad.

Shortly afterwards, though, the van suddenly draws to a halt. Will Corey get away or is the game finally up?

While Corrie bosses aren't giving away the ultimate outcome for Corey, these scenes mark the end for his time on the show either way.

Maximus Evans, who plays Corey, explained: "The thought of going to prison is the worst thing imaginable for Corey, because deep down he knows himself he's just a scared young lad that doesn't have the power he's convinced himself that he has.

"They've made a run for it, Stefan has arranged a van to pick them up from this warehouse where they're both hiding out. Stefan has almost become a fugitive himself as well, as he tries to help Corey escape out of the country.

"Stefan's pulling out everything he has in his armour, but it's whether it's good enough now that the net is closing in. Their plan is that Christian will pick them up and get them to the border where hopefully Corey will be en route to Germany."

On this being the end for Corey's time in Corrie, Maximus added: "He may not leave the show for good, but I've recently moved down to London to further my training at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

"At the same time that's only two years then I'll be back on the market as they say, so we'll just see what happens from there.

"It's been a great taster at Corrie for TV and acting for screen, but I'd love to get back into theatre. As an actor it really tests you, theatre, and I just want to challenge myself as much as possible and take on a role that's really different to the one I've created at Corrie.

"I've loved the last two years, it's been some of the best times of my life. The experiences and the people I've met have just been incredible. I owe the show a lot so of course I'd come back. I'd love to see it happen further down the line to create that bigger impact if it ever was to happen, but I love the show and it's been an honour to be part of it."

It's like we have no extradition treaty with Germany and the football club would be completely unaware that there is a warrant out for Corey's arrest....

After having got a life sentence, Tracy Barlow must have been working behind the scenes to get Cory off on a technicality.......
