It might be (very) cold outside in the UK, but over in Australia, summer is on its way. So to celebrate, Neighbours has released a brand new promo video ahead of the soap's return for the new season.

Benny Turland, who plays Hendrix Greyson, takes centre stage in the clip, which can be viewed at the top of the page.

The show said: "As we approach the festive season here is a little gift from us to you. Whether you are able to dance around your neighbourhood, your garden or even just your living room, we hope this brings a smile to [your] face."

As well as Benny's killer dance moves, the clip hinted at a number of upcoming storylines between characters, including a mystery woman with Toadie Rebecchi ? and Paul Robinson's continued disapproval of Hendrix.

Unfortunately for Neighbours fans in the UK, there'll be a long wait until the new episodes are aired on Channel 5, thanks to a transmission gap between the UK and Australia.

As if that wasn't frustrating enough for some viewers, Channel 5 bosses recently announced that Neighbours' final episode of the year will air on Wednesday, December 23 and won't return until Monday, January 4.

Good things come to those who wait, we suppose.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
