    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 3rd - 7th August 2020

Monday 03 August 2020 at 19:30 on ITV

Sarah visits Gary and he begs her not to tell the truth. Adam quizzes Sarah about going to see Gary, but she is saved from explaining when the police arrive to ask her about the accident. Sarah is stressed when they ask her why she called 999 before the accident happened.

Having discharged himself from hospital, Gary throws some clothes in a hold-all and leaves three letters on the side marked for Maria, Izzy and Nicola.

Adam's suspicions are raised once more when Bernie tells him about the watch Sarah bought from her as a present for him.

Meanwhile, Elaine introduces herself to Sally in the cafe and explains that she's Tim's mum. She adds that it broke her heart to abandon him, but Geoff made her life a living hell and now she wants to do what she can to help Yasmeen. Sally urges her not to give up on Tim as one day he'll understand.

As Elaine heads to Street Cars looking for Tim, she's horrified when Geoff approaches.

Elsewhere, when Jenny sympathises with Abi over the twins' imminent departure for Australia, Gemma insensitively declares it would kill her to be separated from the quads. Abi flees, upset. When Gemma apologises to Abi for her thoughtless remarks. Abi tearfully explains that, for the first time in her life, she's trying not to be selfish by letting the twins go.

Sally implores Tim to accept that Elaine could well be telling the truth and that Geoff has fed him a pack of lies all his life. Tim refuses to listen, but it's clear her words have hit home.

Alya is worried something has happened to Elaine and she reports her missing to the police. Faye asks Geoff who he was arguing with in the ginnel. Geoff continues to insist she is a "mad woman" and he has no idea who she is, insisting to police that his first wife is dead. Sally insists he tells the truth.

Meanwhile, Leanne takes delivery of a specially-adapted chair for Oliver and explains to Toyah that she and Steve are off to look at a school that caters for children in Oliver's situation. When Mandy, an old friend from antenatal class asks after Oliver, Leanne makes out he's fine. But as Mandy heads off, Leanne is overwhelmed with grief.

Elsewhere, Adam calls at the factory to make peace with Sarah and promises her that from now on, he won't mention Gary or the accident again. Gary announces that he's decided not to increase the rent on the factory. Sarah's suspicious but Gary insists it's not a bribe.

Later, Maria confides in Peter and Carla about how slow the furniture business is at the moment. When Carla lets slip that Gary has binned his threat of a rent increase, Maria is concerned.

With all eyes on him, Geoff swears that Elaine is peddling lies, she's not Tim's mum and Alya must have put her up to it in a bid to drive a wedge between them. Sally begs Tim to open his eyes and see Geoff for the abusive bully that he is, but Tim is angry and warns her not to make him choose between her and his dad.

When Geoff tries to enter the restaurant, Alya bars his way and threatens him with her broom. Geoff admits to Tim that he did confront Elaine, but only to tell her to stay away from his family and peddle her lies elsewhere.

Tim rips up Elaine's phone number and tosses it in the bin, telling Sally that he's had enough of her suspicions.

Meanwhile, Leanne confides in Toyah about how when an old friend inquired after Oliver, she lied, making out that he's fine and now she's ashamed of herself. Toyah's heart breaks for her sister. Leanne urges Toyah to set the fostering wheels in motion as she deserves some happiness.

Elsewhere, Adam finds out from Peter about the factory rent. At the same time, Maria confronts Gary and wonders if he's still in love with Sarah. Gary assures Maria that he was simply trying to take the pressure off Nick as he's having such a tough time with Oliver. Maria hugs Gary. Adam quizzes Sarah about her day, but when she fails to mention Gary's change of heart over the rent, he quietly seethes.
