Neighbours has aired a big twist in the Nicolette Stone baby storyline on Australian screens today (August 10), as the character's whereabouts are finally addressed.

Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) disappeared with no intention of coming back three weeks ago, after she felt betrayed by Chloe Brennan, David Tanaka, and Aaron Brennan and following a confrontation with Paul Robinson.

She was heavily pregnant at the time and said to be around two weeks from the due date.

Nicolette's family and friends have had no luck finding her, but Paul (Stefan Dennis) finally tracked her down this week thanks to his private investigator John Wong, who offered a lead.

Paul travelled to Canberra to follow up on John's tip, and after confronting Audrey Hamilton (Zahra Newman), he received a text from Nicolette suggesting that they meet alone.

In today's episode, Nicolette and Paul met up. Paul was shocked to find out that Nicolette had given birth five days ago.

After failing to convince Nicolette to come back to Ramsay Street, he offered her $1,000,000 for baby Isla. Nicolette responded angrily, but Paul insisted it would be best for everyone.

Nicolette ended up accepting Paul's offer, and brought Isla to him. Paul had one more condition: Nicolette must never return to Erinsborough.

But the episode saved the biggest twist for last. As Nicolette returned to her room with the signed cheque for $1,000,000, it was revealed that the baby she handed over to Paul was not David and Aaron's baby at all. The real baby Isla was in the crib in Nicolette's room all along...

Whose baby did Paul receive? And what will the fallout be like if Nicolette shows up in Erinsborough again with the real Isla?

These scenes will air in the UK in September.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Also confused as it appears she was alone the whole time which meant she left the baby/babies in that room alone when she was out walking/talking to Paul? 5 days after birth?

even though they are very rarely anywhere to be seen
