Hi there i began this over on the BBC message Board but then it closed.

This is my own soap i have wrote about 10 episodes so far and i will put them all up soon.

Ok here is the deal, Exeter is basically a estate with a pub,bokkies,shop,post office, garage and a factory. It also has a snokker hall which is currently closed down.

Exter follows the life of the scotsmans. They own most of the estate and the pub. Exeter has many more charecters to so enjoy.

Episode 1
Death on the Doorstep

Scene One
Outside the Royal Oak!

We see people walking up to the market and others going to the corner shop.

Nick Bowler is playing football with Ashley Coffman.
Nick kicks the ball and it goes into the alleyway just outside of the Royal Oak.

Ashley: Now look what you have done.
Nick: Well let’s go get it.
Ashley: But my dad told me to never go down there.
Nick: Who cares what your dad says come on.

Nick runs off into the alleyway Ashley looks around and then shouts

Ashley: Nick Wait for me.

Ashley then follows Nick into the alleyway.

Scene Two
The Alleyway

Nick and Ashley are searching around the alleyway looking underneath boxes and crates.
They suddenly hear a noise.

Ashley: What was that?
Nick: It’s was just a stupid cat, why are you afraid.
Ashley: No
{Nick starts making funny noises, trying to make Ashley scared.}

Ashley: Stop it, stop it right…
Nick: Agahhh
Ashley: What? What is it?
Nick: Look there look
Ashley: I can’t see anything
Nick: Look behind the bi…
Ashley: What is that.
{Both start to talk very quietly and both are shaking]
Nick: Its…Its
Ashley: It’s a hand.
Nick: Is it real
Ashley: I don’t know.
{Nick walks over and moves the bin out of the way}

Nick and Ashley: Agahh

Scene Three
The Richmond’s front room.
{Phil opens the curtains as his wife walks in}

Sharon: Morning
{Phil is glaring at the alleyway}
Sharon: Phil, Phil wake up.
Phil: What, what oh yeah morning.
Sharon: You keep looking over there what’s up.
{Phil is still staring at the alleyway}
Sharon: Phil answer me, ever since you got back last night you’ve been acting strange what’s up.
Phil: n…nothing
Scene Four
The cafe
The café is busy on one table Alan and Trudy are sitting down eating there breakfast.

Alan: This is beautiful
Trudy: Like me
Alan: Well I would not compare you to baked beans but yeah I suppose.
{Suddenly Ashley and nick barge into the café, Ashley runs to Alan}
Ashley: Granddad
Alan: Yes son
Ashley: Well erm, something’s happened
Trudy: Are you all right Ashley
Ashley: Just come on granddad
Alan: Can I finish my breakfast first?
Ashley: No quick
Alan: All right, Trudy pay for the food I will see you after work.
Trudy: Al right bye bye.
{Alan follows Nick and Ashley outside.}
Scene Five
The Alleyway
{Alan runs into the alley way with Nick and Ashley}
Alan: Well what is it
Ashley: Look behind the bin
Nick: yeah see if you can find are football to
Ashley: Shut up
{Alan looks behind the bin to find a body.}
Alan: Nick go find the doctor and tell him it’s an emergency.
Ashley: What do you want me to do?
Alan: Go to the pub and get Mike and fast.
{Both Nick and Ashley run}

Scene Six
The Doctors.
{Nick runs in and barges into the doctors surgery}
Nick: Doc, Doc quick there’s been an emergency.
Doctor: Well im a bit busy I’ve got a patient cant it… did you just say emergency
Nick: Yeah we have found a body
Doctor: What were
Nick: The alleyway
Doctor: Ok {Grabs all his stuff} lets go then.


Scene seven
The Royal Oak
{Shawn is already standing behind the bar cleaning the glasses, Mike comes down the stairs when suddenly the door knocks.}

Shawn: All right im coming.
{Shawn opens the door to find Ashley}
Ashley: Is mike there please
Mike: Yes I am.
{Mike walks to the door}
Ashley: my granddad needs you he has found a body.
Mike: What were
Ashley: In the back alley
Shawn: Do you want me to come?
Mike: Nah I will sort it come on then.
{Mike and Ashley exit, Amy enters.}

Amy: What was all that about
Shawn: They’ve found a body love
Amy: What
Scene Eight
The alleyway
{The doctor, Alan, nick, Ashley and Mike are standing, the doctor then kneels down to examine the body.}
Doctor: Do you know who this is?
Alan: Yeah it’s Roy Crabtree.
Mike: He’s owns the bookies
Doctor: Well he does not any more he’s dead!

Episode 2

Scene One
At the graveyard.
{All of the Exeter members are walking away from Roy Crabtree’s apart from Shawn and Mike Scotsman}

Shawn: Did they find out how he died?
Mike: Murder.
Shawn: Blow to the head?
Mike: Yep
Shawn: Murderer known, no don’t answer that.
Mike: Well the police are pathetic anyway so I don’t think there goanna find them.
Shawn: Them
Mike: Well I mean whomever.
Shawn: But we could
Mike: We could what
Shawn: Find out who’s bunked him off.
Mike: I suppose
Shawn: Go on it can be are project we can work together.
Mike: Ok it’s a deal
Shawn: That’s great
Mike: C’mon son lets go open up.


Scene Two
The car park outside the church.
{Phil opens the car door and starts to go into his car when he steps back out.}

Sharon: What is it?
Phil: {Is staring at Shawn and Mike} erm…erm…Nothing
Sharon: Are you sure your alright you look a bit pale.
Phil: I…I have a bit of a headache
Sharon: Well we won’t go to the wake just go home yeah.
Phil: Erm...no best show up aye.
Sharon: You sure
Phil: Yeah

Scene Three
The pub
{The tables are covered with beautiful food and flowers.}
{Amy and Lucy are both behind the bar}

Amy: aye up here they come.
Lucy: Oh were on earth is Mike
Amy: Men who would have them?
Lucy: Well we both married them
Amy: and they’re Scotsman’s
{Then Shawn and Mike come from the back.}
Mike: Ello love {Mike walks over to Lucy and gives her a kiss.}
Amy: Erm Shawn
Shawn: yes gorgeous
Amy: I have something to tell you.
Shawn: Cant it wait we are a bit busy.
Amy: Yeah I suppose.

Scene four
The post office.
{Jill is behind the counter and Malcolm is sorting out the sweets.}

Jill: shame we could not go to the funeral
Malcolm: I can’t stand churches and vicars.
Jill: Oh Malcolm
{Then Nick and Ashley run into the shop}
Malcolm: Hey calm down our I will chuck you out.
Nick: sorry
Ashley: Yeah sir we really are sorry.
{Ashley and nick both walk to the sweet stand getting some sweets. Nick sneaks some in his pocket.}
Jill: Is that all
Ashley: Yep
Jill; that will be one pound each please.
{Ashley gets two pound out of his pocket.}
Jill: Thank you

{Ashley and Nick walk out of shop}

Scene Five
Outside the post office
Nick: Look what I got
{Nick pulls out the sweets he stole.}
Ashley: What have you done?
Nick: Well my dad says it’s a rip off in there
Ashley: So you did not need to steel.

Scene Six
Inside the Pub
{Alan, Trudy and Vivian are all sitting at a table with their food and drink}
Vivian: So it was murder.
Trudy: Yes it was
Alan: Will you two stop gossiping, for goodness sake he’s only been dead for five minutes and all you can talk about is who’s done it.
Vivian: Well we need to know these things, I mean if I was killed…
Alan: I wish
Trudy: ALAN how dare you.

Scene Seven
At the Bowlers

{Hugh is lying on the settee watching television, Stacey is on her mobile}
Stacey: Yeah I will be round in a bit, yeah ok see ya
{The door opens and Ashley and Nick walk in}
Nick: Dad can I have a fiver.
Hugh: What do you think im made of money?
Nick: Oh come on dad.
Stacey: Araghh do you want it for fags.
Nick: shut up
Hugh: I hope not, does he smoke Ashley
Ashley: No mr bowler
Hugh: please… call me Hugh
{Hugh digs deep under the seatte}
Hugh: here ive found a couple of pounds.
Nick: Thanks dad.

Scene eight
Upstairs of the pub.
{Amy and Shawn are sitting down}
Amy: I have something to tell you.
Shawn: Go ahead
Amy: We have been married for nearly a year now and well erm..
Shawn: Well spit it out.
Amy: im…im…im
Shawn: Come on, we haven’t got all day.
Amy: Shawn im PREGNANT!!!

Scene One
Upstairs at the pub.
{Amy and Shawn are still sitting down}
Shawn: Wait, your…pregnant
Amy: Yeah I am
Shawn: But I thought you took
Amy: The pill, well I forgot to take it a couple of weeks ago, rember when I was a bit tipsy
Shawn: How long
Amy: How long what
Shawn: How long you known
Amy: Three weeks
Shawn: What
Amy: Well I wasn’t certain
Shawn: Why didn’t you tell me earlier?
Amy: Because I wasn’t certain
Shawn: How long are you
Amy: 3 months

Scene Two
Outside the bookies.

Alan: What’s gonna happen to this place.
Mike: To be honest with you I don’t know
Alan: It’s a shame because I have to trope all the way down the town, just to put on a bet.
Mike: Alan Lisbon a gambler get out of here.
Alan: Agahh Shut up

Scene Three
Upstairs at the Richmond’s
{Phil is rutting threw his cupboard, he is looking for something but what?}

Phil: Where is it, damn it where is it.
{From behind comes Sharon}
Sharon: What are you looking for, Phil?
Phil: What, nothing I mean where’s my leaver jacket.
Sharon: Which one
Phil: My black one
Sharon: I threw it out.
Phil: What, why.
Sharon: It stank of well the alleyway.
Phil: The Alleyway, no I was…I mean.
Sharon: Phil what is going on?
Phil: Nothing.

Scene Four
The Stevens living room.
{Silvia is busy cleaning, Bob is on his laptop}

Silvia: I don’t believe this
Bob: What
Silvia: The dust on these shelves, I only cleaned this last Tuesday.
Bob: Well you have been busy dear.
Silvia: Doing what.
Bob: Gossiping with your so-called friend Vivian about the death of Roy Crabtree.
Silvia: Death! No, no it was murder dear.
Bob: We don’t know that.
Silvia: Well its obvious, somebody doesn’t just go into an alleyway and die.
Bob: Look cant you just be quiet about Roy.
Silvia: I know you never got on with him but…
Bob: It just gives me the creeps okay.

Scene Five
The Garage
{Robbie is working on a car while Shawn is in the office doing some paper work, Phil walks in.}

Robbie: All right Phil.
{Phil is staring at a spanner}
Robbie: Phil, Phil what’s up, Phil.
Phil: Sorry, erm nothing.
Robbie: You sure.
Phil: Yeah im just going to speak to Shawn.
{Phil walks up stairs to the Garage office.}

Scene Six
The garage office.
{Shawn is busy doing paper work when Phil works in}

Phil: Shawn, ive got a question.
Shawn: yeah go ahead, I have something to say as well.
Phil: Erm you go first.
Shawn: Its Amy she’s erm Pregnant.
Phil: What that’s great news.
Shawn: So what did you want to tell me?
Phil: Erm… nothing it doesn’t matter.

Scene Seven
Outside of the old Snooker Hall.
{Bob is outside locking the doors Doggie walks up to him.}

Doug: Are you ever going to open this place up again?
Bob: Well I cant
Doug: What do you mean?
Bob: Well its not mine any more, I have sold it.
Doug: What why?
Bob: To many bad memorise
Doug: So who has brought this place?
Bob: Don’t know and I don’t care.

Scene Eight
The post office.
{Jill is stacking up some stuff when a man with a knife walks in, jill has her back to him}

Jill: I will be with you in a minute, just hold on.
{Jill turns round and see the man and drops one of the boxes}
Man: Give me all your cash and fags now.
Jill: What… no
Man: I have a gun if you don’t I will shoot you.
Jill: Ok…Ok hold on.
{ Jill runs round to the counter and opens the till and grabs all the money but drops it}
Man: Hurry up you stupid bitch.
Jill: Here take it and the cigarettes.
{The man runs off and Jill collapses onto her knees and begins to cry}

Hey this is the last episode for this week i will post three more next week, i would likesome feedback on how and why you like the show, and what you think of the storylines.

Episode 4
Scene One
The Royal Oak, Shawn and Amy’s Bedroom.
{Amy is sitting up in bed and Shawn is putting on his shirt.}

Amy: Come back to bed Shawn.
Shawn: No I have got stuff to do.
Amy: Like what.
Shawn: Well firstly I have to get the plumber out and fix the toilet and…
Amy: So just 10 more minutes.
Shawn: No {Shawn is looking out the window and is staring at the Snooker Hall.} What the
Amy: What…what is it.
Shawn: Well I thought that… erm I will be back in a bit.

Scene Two
Outside the Snooker Hall
{A car pulls up, a man steps out of the front and walks to the door of the car and opens it. Another man in a black suit steps out of the car}

James: Thank you take the car round the back.
{Shawn comes walking up}
Shawn: Well I never James Perry the main man.
James: Shawn Scotsman son of the famous Mike Scotsman, how is the old beggar doing.
Shawn: Fine. Any way what are you doing here?
James: Well I have brought this place
Shawn: What {Shawn looks at the snooker hall then looks back at James} this place, you I thought this was not your scene.
James: Well im not going to keep it as a snooker hall.
Shawn: No
James: No im turning it into a nightclub.
Shawn: What! Dad isn’t goanna like this.

Scene Three
Inside the post office.
{Jill walks into the shop with bags under her eyes, she looks at the counter and begins to cry}

Scene Four
In the Lisbon’s living room.
{Trudy opens the curtains, to reveal a teenager sleeping on the seatee.}
Trudy: Come on up you get. {Trudy wakes the boy up}
Teenager: What…oh im going back to…
Trudy: Oh no your not Daniel, I have got to get to work so that means you have to get out of the house.
Daniel: But granddad can look after me
Trudy: he’s gone to work.
Daniel: But Nan…
Trudy: No buts you have to go to school.

Scene Four
Inside the café.
{Vivian brings Silvia a cup of tea}

Viv: You at work today.
Silvia: No I have got the week off.
Viv: Gives us some time to catch up then doesn’t it, I have the afternoon off.
Silvia: Yeah say around two o clock.

Scene five
Outside the Post office.
{Malcolm comes out of a taxi with a suit case and gives the taxi driver some money}
Malcolm: Cheers mate see ya.
{Malcolm unlocks the door and opens it}

Scene Six
Inside The Post Office
{Malcolm walks in and shuts the door, he looks around and sees the place as a tip then from out the back appears Jill}
Malcolm: What the hell is going on?

Scene Seven
Inside The Royal Oak
{Trudy is cleaning the place when Mike walks down}

Mike: Every thing ok Trudy?
Trudy: Yeah fine.
{Shawn then walks in}
Shawn: Guess whos shown up
Mike: Who
Shawn: James Perry
Mike: What, why where did you see him.
Shawn: Outside The old snooker hall, he has brought the place.
Mike: What for.
Shawn: He is going to turn it into a Nightclub
Mike: WHAT

I just wanted to say in the next month we will find out who killed roy crabtree. However whoever finds out will have a life thretening experience, could the killer attack again. All i am saying is more then one life will be on the line! But who will survive????

Scene One
Upstairs of the post office.
{Jill is lying on the seatte watching television when Malcolm walks in with a cup of tea}

Malcolm: Here you go.
Jill: Thanks.
Malcolm: I’m goanna ring the police toda.
Jill: No… No I don’t want to speak to them.
Malcolm: What… Do you want this to happen again?
Jill: No i… erm I just cant ok.

Scene Two
In the pub cellar
{Mike is placing a barrel down and Lucy is talking to Mike}

Lucy: Look I know you are in a mood about the new club opening…but.
Mike: But nothing
Lucy: Okay okay have you seen him yet?
Mike: Who? What? Oh no not yet but im going to later on okay.
Lucy: Ok
Mike: What is it with you as soon as I mentioned his name you haven’t shut up about him?
Lucy: Just curious, yeah just curious.

Scene Three
The Bowlers living room
{Hugh is sitting down eating some cereal, Stacey is reading a magazine and Nick is getting ready for school.}

Nick: Dad come on just give me one more day off.
Hugh: No
Nick: But why?
Hugh: Because you have had 3 days off already and you haven’t even been ill.
Nick: I have.
Hugh: {Laughs} Monday you woke up late, Tuesday you had a soar throat and yesterday there was a program you wanted to watch, so what’s your excuse today.
Nick: I…I… well i.. I have got a headac…
Hugh: No your going to school your sister does.
Nick: Yeah that’s what you think.
Stacey: What… shut up nick.
Hugh: Is this true.
Stacey: Is what a true?
Hugh: You know what.
Stacey: No dad honest.
Hugh: Are you sure.
Stacey: well the school would have told you.
Hugh: yeah I suppose.

Scene Four
Upstairs in the Scotsman’s living room.
{A policewoman is taking notes, while a policeman is talking to Mike Scotsman}

Policeman: Did you notice anything different about mr Crabtree before his murder?
Mike: No not at all he was just being his usual self.
Man: And how would you describe him?
Mike: Well he was a happy man, whenever we had a talent show he would be on the stage.
Man: Ok then did you happen to notice anything odd that night?
Mike: No it was a busy night, it was the busiest we have had since oh I don’t know
Man: Did you notice anyone out of the ordinary??
Mike: well like I said it was a busy night you know, I mean we have different people every night.
Man: Ok then.
Mike: Well thank you officer.

Scene five
Inside of the new nightclub.
{James is on his mobile talking to someone, the removal men are moving the furniture and equipment around.}

James: Yeah ok, well I want him sorted you hear, oh and by the way I need you to drop off at the post office and grab my leaflets for me, and deliver them, yeah ok right I will see you later.
{James then speaks to one of the workers.}
James: If you could just put that there thanks.
{Shawn then walks in, with a bottle of wine.}
Shawn: Hello
James: Shawn how can I help you.
Shawn: Well on behalf of my Farther we wish you the best of luck…blah, blah, blah.
James: White, dosents Mike know that I only like red.
Shawn: He must be going senile In his old age.
James: Yeah I suppose {Laughs out Loud}
Shawn: So have you got a name yet?
James: Riley’s.
Shawn: Strange name.
James: Well its named after my mothers last name.
Shawn: Oh and the wife asks when is the opening day.
James: Next Friday.
Shawn: Ok then I suppose I will see you then.

Scene Six
Upstairs in the Scotsman’s living room
{Lucy is sitting down talking to Amy}

Lucy: This place is swamping with cops and Mike does not like it one bit.
Amy: Well I have got some good news.
Lucy: Oh yeah
Amy: Yeah well I am
Lucy: Come on spit it out
Amy: I… I am Pregnant.
Lucy: What you mean {Takes a short moment until answers again} I am going to be a grandmother.
Amy: Yep
Lucy: Oh my gosh I cant believe it, I mean what is it, a boy or a girl.
Amy: I don’t know me and Shawn have not decided whether to have it checked.
Lucy: Well I will not be bothered what sex it will be.

Scene Seven
Inside the café
(Alan is sitting at a table in the far corner eating his lunch while reading the racing post, on the other side of the room is James drinking a coffee while reading the daily express. Vivian who is behind the counter walks up to James)

Viv: Well well if it is not the man himself James Perry.
James: (puts his paper down and looks at Vivian) excuse me
Viv: You know what I mean.
James: That was the past Vivian the past and that is where it is going to stay.
Viv: You swore to the two of us you would never come back, you swore on your own mother’s grave.
James: That was over 20 years ago.
Viv: Why have you even come back after all those years got bored?
James: I’m here for business do I live here no there is a lot of property around here I could make some more money.
Viv: Yeah right, no I don’t think so some how, James you swore you promised no matter what.
James: Well I have changed since then.
Viv: (Gives a little laugh) You never change, I should know I was part if your life for 15 years or have you forgotten.
James: Oh trust me I have not forgotten in fact I have nightmares over it.
Viv: So you do remember why you left, I mean the real story not that one you told Alan and Trudy.
James: Of course I do not a day goes by without me thinking about it.
