Emmerdale's Marshall Hamston says his goodbyes to the village next week after ending his relationship with Arthur Thomas.

Marshall shocks Arthur by suggesting that it's time to split up after recent bickering between them.

In recent months, the schoolboy has been staying at Mulberry Cottage after Arthur's mum Laurel helped him to escape a traumatic situation at home with his homophobic father, Colin.

Next week's scenes see Marshall thank Laurel for everything she has done for him.

He then gives Arthur an emotional last hug, before leaving to go and live with his auntie.

Laurel feels heartbroken for Arthur, who sobs in her arms over losing his first love.

Arthur feels worse when his sister Gabby takes a selfish approach to the situation, moodily commenting on her own life rather than showing any concern.

Marshall arrived in Emmerdale in January and was initially involved in cruelly pranking Arthur, who had just come out as gay.

lSubsequent episodes showed that Marshall had genuine feelings for Arthur and he started to come to terms with his own sexuality.

Earlier this year, Emmerdale's executive producer Jane Hudson hinted that Arthur's connection with Marshall could prove short-lived.

Speaking on ITV1's Loose Women, Hudson commented: "It's been such a lovely story and I'm so proud of Alfie [Clarke], who plays Arthur. He's done it so brilliantly.

"It's not just a story about coming out as gay. It's a story about teenage love and teenage angst. I think we all remember when we first broke up and we thought: 'Oh, I'm never going to find love again!'"

Monday 17th


Having been told that her con artist ex, Faye ? who ripped off Mary and tons of other villagers ? has been arrested, Mary is hoping that justice might be looming around the corner.

So the gran is utterly shocked when an anonymous text message leads her to come face-to-face with horrible Faye.

The schemer, who seduced Mary before conning her out of her savings and vanishing, has been sleeping in her car. But when she asks Mary for another chance, claiming to be in love with her, Faye's words are thrown back in her face.

Standing firm, Mary refuses to believe a word Faye's got to say and is immediately proved right when her ex turns tack and threatens to release a nude photo of her unless Mary changes her statement against her!

How will horrified Mary handle Faye's attempt at revenge porn?

Rishi reaches out for a chat with his ex, Manpreet, about Jai. The doctor assures the broken dad that he's been nothing but loving to Jai who's recently discovered he was adopted by Rishi who's not his biological father.

Acting on Manpreet's advice, Rishi decides to tell his son the full story but gets blanked by Jai who feels his whole life has been a lie.

At Home Farm, Gabby resolves to give Nicky a taste of his own medicine.


Tuesday 18th

Emmerdale's newlywed Tracy Robinson dreams of being her own boss

She's not long been back in the village and has returned as Mrs Robinson, having got back together with Nate.

But mum-of-one Tracy wants more out of life than cleaning round at the B&B and would love to open a nursery meaning she could look after Frankie while earning money minding other people's kids.

Picking up on Tracy's low mood, Bob kicks into action and tries to pep her spirits.

Will Bob's pick-me-up chat work? Are he and Bernice about to find themselves out of a helping hand as Tracy tries get to get her idea off the ground?

At Smithy, Faye turns up and reminds Mary that the clock is ticking.

The con-artist wants her ex to change the statement she made to the police and is threatening to release a nude photo of Mary to all the village if she doesn't do her bidding.

As Mary quakes in the face of Faye's out and out nastiness, Rhona arrives and can't believe brazen Faye's gall.

When mother and daughter are alone, Rhona begs Mary not to give in to Faye. But Mary's distraught and is desperate to stop the intimate picture getting into circulation.

With the wedding fast approaching, Laurel's trying her best to resolve the rift between Jai and Rishi.

Having listened to Laurel's pleas, her fianc? grumpily tells his dad he can come. Rishi's made up ? but it's clear Jai resents the gesture.



WEDNESDAY 19th

Emmerdale's Caleb Milligan just can't resist an opportunity

With most of his family against him, Caleb should be doing all he can to try to get back in their good books.

But he's about to make a move that could make matters a million times worse.

The businessman's ears prick up when he overhears Nate and Belle talking about Tracy's dream of opening a nursery in the village.

Learning that Nate's wife is struggling to find an investor, Caleb seeks out Tracy and offers his financial services!

Later, Nate reels as Tracy fills him in. He can't believe she's even contemplating doing anything with the man who ruined his stepmum Moira's business.

After Nate points out that Cain will flip if Tracy makes a deal with his hated brother, she bites back accusing her husband of caring more about his dad's feelings than the needs of his family.

Down the road at Smithy, Mary knows she needs to make a decision about Faye's threat. But she's torn.

When her son-in-law Marlon lets slip that he's in the know about the situation, Mary winces at Rhona's betrayal? But will her granddaughter April's insight stop the gran from going to the police and retracting her statement?

Will Mary cave to Faye's demand or will she let the con-artist do her worst?

With the wedding coming up, Jai's cousin. Suni rallies the troops to get a stag do together. His hope is that the event will reunite father and son? but will it?

At the Woolpack it's cringe-central as Wendy finds herself in the middle of both her men: boyfriend Bob and her secret lover Liam.

Will Bob pick up on the chemistry coursing between the colleagues?


Thursday 20th

Emmerdale's Moira and Cain Dingle Dingle have to make cuts at the farm in Thursday's episode

Moira Dingle wishes it didn't have to be like this.

But times are tough at the farm, and Caleb's shenanigans have all but crippled the business.

With Cain's support, Moira has bad news to break to her brother Mack and Cain's son Nate both of whom work at Butler's.

The men reel as the couple tell them they're going to have to compete for a job.

Later, back at home, Nate is relieved when Tracy tells him she's backtracked on the idea of Caleb investing for the sake of family relations.

But when her hubby then tells her what's happened at Butler's Tracy's blood boils and with that she decides she's going into business with Caleb after all!

Will Caleb and Tracy cut a deal knowing Cain will explode?

The first cut is the deepest for Arthur who's in bits when Marshall says he's leaving the village.

After thanking Laurel for all she's done for him, Marshall gives Arthur a huge hug and exits Emmerdale.

Laurel's heart breaks as her son sobs in her arms over the loss of his first love.


Friday 21st

Emmerdale's Rishi Sharma is a dad in pieces

Jai Sharma's cousin Suni was hoping Jai's stag do would repair the rift in the family but there's been no such luck.

Jai can't get past the fact that Rishi has never told him he wasn't his biological father yet told his ex-wife, Manpreet.

Laurel has tried to get her fianc? to make amends, as has Suni, but Jai is deeply hurt and just can't get it go.

Rishi is in absolute bits. He knows he should have said but he's been nothing but a devoted and loving dad to Jai who he bought up alongside his biological kids Priya and Nikhil.

Will the heartbroken dad end up missing his son's wedding next week?

Teenager Arthur Thomas is down in the dumps over his lost love, Marshall. It's the his first heartbreak and he's taking it hard.

Rather than rally round and console her brother, Gabby, who's dealing with her own affairs of the heart, makes matters worse?

Elsewhere, Caleb Milligan tries to reassure Tracy Robinson that she won't be a family outcast now they're going into business together.
