Emmerdale: After a few drinks, Max (Charlie Kemp) decides he doesn't need his family's help to make it on his own and storms out of the house, followed by Tom (Ken Farrington).
Max starts to drive off but Tom is determined to stop his son leaving the village and blocks his exit. In anger, Max runs Tom over and he is knocked unconscious.
Jimmy (Nick Miles) sees everything and claims to be the driver to save his brother from being arrested for drink driving. Tom is taken to hospital but how serious is his condition?
Meanwhile, unaware of Simon's (Dale Meeks) financial situation, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) meets with a local interior designer. When she tells Simon how much it's actually going to cost, can he persuade Nicola that her own designs are better to avoid coming clean about their lack of funds?
