Emmerdale has finally revealed the identity of the mystery new character who was first teased last month.
Jurell Carter has been cast as newcomer Nate Robinson, who made his first appearance as part of the Big Night Out storyline on Thursday evening (April 25).
Show bosses kept fans guessing by teasing Nate's arrival at the end of a special video released for Earth Hour on March 30.
The sneaky preview saw Nate drinking a pint at The Woolpack, but at the time, there was no official word on his character name or even who'd be playing him.
Emmerdale's Big Night Out episodes have now revealed all, as Nate took a shine to Rhona Goskirk when he saw her at the nightclub.
Rhona rebuffed Nate's attempts to chat her up, but was clearly flattered. Later on, when the fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate, they were seen leaving the building together.
Show insiders have been teasing the possibility that Rhona could be tempted by Nate after her recent relationship woes with Pete Barton.
As Nate was credited with a surname, unlike the other clubbers in the episode, it seems likely that we'll be seeing him more regularly – could he end up with a reason to stick around in the village?
New cast member Jurell Carter's previous credits include roles in crime drama Kiri and BBC One's daytime soap Doctors.
