Coronation Street and Emmerdale face fresh schedule changes for a third week on ITV.

This week and next week see the popular soaps hit our screens at amended times due to the airing of both the Rugby World Cup and the UEFA Women's Nations League.

As the Rugby World Cup continues into October, fans will see the programmes moved around in the schedule to accommodate the sport's live coverage.

Monday, October 2, and Wednesday, October 4, will see Corrie air at 8pm, accompanied by a rare Tuesday, October 3 outing at the same time.

No episode will air on Friday, October 6 to make space for live coverage of the Rugby World Cup match between France and Italy from 7.30pm, explaining why fans are seeing a Tuesday episode.

Emmerdale will also air at the earlier time of 7pm on Friday, October 6, instead of its usual 7.30pm, because of this.

Next week will also see the soap air at amended times, but there's plenty of drama set to unfold on the cobbles to make up for the change as Stephen's lies are further brought into question after Leo's body is discovered.

Elsewhere in the soap, Courtney finds herself in a tricky situation when Dev tries to bribe her after her affair with Aadi was exposed in a previous showdown, and things get heated at Shelly's funeral.

Meanwhile, over in the Dales, there are wedding bells in the air as Mack proposes to Chloe when he believes she's pregnant again.

In The Woolpack, Charles loses his temper as he grapples with telling Claudette the truth about his dad, Victor.

Also in next week's episodes, Chas faces a difficult moment with her ex-husband, Paddy, as well as Mandy and Eve.

MONDAY

It's the anniversary of Grace's death and Chas Dingle couldn't feel more alone.

Eve gives her a hard time as the mum asks her daughter to go to Grace's grave and Paddy, well, he's got plans with Mandy and isn't sticking around.

As her ex remarks how much his life has changed since their firstborn died moments after she was born, Chas realises she's stuck in time.

Later that day, however, things change as a new man breezes into Chas' life.

Introducing himself as 'Simon', he and Chas get to talking and discover they've both lost children.

But should Chas believe a word that is coming out of the stranger's mouth?

Probably not as he's not called Simon at all, he's called Harry and is the guy who beat up Caleb and was using his driving firm to run guns!

Unaware she's flirting with a criminal, Chas invites him back to her place.

Deciding she's not ready to fall into bed with someone new, she offers him the sofa and heads upstairs.

But when Chas is gone, Simon scours the room staring coldly at a photograph of Caleb.

Is Chas in danger?

Elsewhere, Charles is in bits as he delivers his father's eulogy while his mum Claudette watches on. Will can she forgive her son?



TUESDAY

When Paddy Dingle comes to collect Eve from her mum's place he's not expecting to find his ex, Chas, has got 'company'.

Though Chas' new friend Simon kipped on the couch, Paddy's annoyed when Chas makes no effort to explain who or what is going on.

Later, annoyed by his ex's attitude, Paddy takes the moral high ground and announces he wants their daughter living with him and Mandy from now on.

It's a low blow for Chas who retaliates by making a nasty remark about Mandy.

Leaving Eve at Tenant's, Chas walks home alone in floods of tears and, in an act of defiance, decides she's going to call 'Simon'.

Uh oh.

In the Woolpack, Charles tries to apologise to Tom for assaulting him. Will Belle's bloke forgive the troubled vicar?


WEDNESDAY

Charity Dingle is still madly in love with Mack who has now got engaged to Chloe even though he recently bedded his ex.

It's a right old mess but Mack has decided he's going to try to make a go of it with Chloe and their baby son Reuben rather than his soulmate Charity.

Having heard that her ex is now engaged to the woman who broke up their marriage, Charity's stung and decides she's going move on as well.

Targeting Liam, she insists the doctor takes her out for dinner at the B&B.

There couldn't be a worse setting for the date seeing as Liam recently had a fling with the owner Bob's girlfriend Wendy.

AWKS!

Well, things get even more awkward when Mack and Chloe then turn up and are seated at a table right next to Charity and Liam!

As Charity tries to make a show of being all flirty and fun with Liam, her act eventually evaporates as her jealousy over Chloe takes over and sees her kick right off!

Across the village, another Dingle is about to lose it. Mandy.

Already worried about Lydia and Sam, the beautician's ears prick up when she hears Samson on the phone to Cathy telling her that his stepmum has 'cheated' on his dad!

Mandy confronts Samson wanting to know what he's going on about.

Samson's theory is all down to Craig of course.

When the teenager asks him why his work experience is over, Craig is only happy to make it sound as if he and Lydia had a thing and had to call it quits for the sake of her marriage.

It's another cruel blow to Lydia who was raped by her so-called friend Craig.

Will Mandy ask Lydia and finally find out the terrible truth that tortured Lydia's keeping from her loved ones?

Elsewhere, Cain and Caleb are on edge as they make progress with their mysterious plan.


THURSDAY

Relations between Charity Dingle, her ex Mackenzie Boyd and his fiancee Chloe Harris are at an all time low.

Still cringing from the awful date night which saw Charity and Liam and Mack and Chloe in the B&B for dinner, Charity's trying to give her love rival a wide berth.

The lonely Dingle is devastated that Mack has proposed to Chloe, the very woman who broke up their marriage shortly after they'd tied the knot.

But with Mack and Charity recently having slept together in secret, the landlady could reveal the truth at any time if she so wished.

However a super stressful situation brings the women together when Chloe's forced to ask Charity to drive her in to hospital when her baby son, who had meningitis, starts running a high temperature.

As the mums deal with the health scare, guilt-wracked Charity does her best to comfort Chloe who is elated when Reuben is given the all-clear.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Chloe attempts to clear the air once and for all. Will Charity come clean and confess?

At the Dingles', Lydia is horrified when Mandy asks if she's been having an affair.

Not prepared to tell the beautician she was raped by Craig, Lydia tries to shut down Mandy's line of questioning before she runs off in a state.

But when Kim finds her a state, Lydia cracks. Unable to stay quiet any longer, the Dingle tells Kim what happened.

Will she listen when Kim gently urges her to share her awful ordeal with her husband Sam?

Elsewhere, Cain and Caleb head over to Wylie's? what are the brothers up to?



FRIDAY

When Cain Dingle disappeared off with his brother Caleb on a road trip a few weeks ago, Moira was furious.

Not only did Cain spring it on his wife, but he refused to share any details behind the sudden trip.

Given that Cain and Caleb have only just got back on speaking terms, Moira couldn't understand why the pair were suddenly thick as thieves. And neither she nor his son Nate were buying Cain and Caleb's coverstory, that they were headed to Holland to check out a consignment of cars.

Though Moira made it plain that there would be consequences for their marriage if Cain left without sharing the truth, the mechanic told her to trust him and headed off.

Though the siblings have returned from their mission, frustrated Moira is still none the wiser ? and the pair is still on edge.

The plot thickens as they start poking around at Wylie's Farm. What are they up to? And will Moira manage to get the truth out of Cain?

Chas is struggling on the anniversary of Grace's death and is frustrated when Eve insists on going to the swings instead of visiting Grace's grave.

As Paddy reflects on how life has moved on at the graveyard, Chas is quietly in torment, feeling stuck in the past.

Later, Harry introduces himself to Chas as 'Simon' and buys her a drink. They easily settle into each other's company while his intentions remain unclear.

Bonding over their late children, Chas admits bringing 'Simon' home was a mistake and he kindly agrees to sleep on the sofa. When Chas heads upstairs, Harry searches the backroom, looking coldly at a photo of her and Caleb.

Meanwhile, Tom and Belle prepare to start their new life.

Elsewhere, an honest and emotional Charles gives his father the eulogy he deserves as conflicted Claudette watches on. Will she be able to forgive her son?

Speaking too loudly and too openly on the phone to Cathy outside the Dingles', Samson is overheard by Mandy and she confronts him about what's going on with Lydia and Craig.

Believing from Samson that Lydia and Craig may have been having an affair, Mandy is determined to find out the truth.

Meanwhile, Charity and Liam are on their date at the B&B when Chloe and Mack arrive and are seated on the table next to them. Jealousy soon rises and Charity's facade breaks as she lashes out at Liam.

Kim is alarmed to see Lydia sobbing. Unable to withstand Craig's lies any longer, Lydia reveals what happened.

Realising her life has changed forever, Lydia is heartbroken when Kim eventually suggests that she'll need to tell Sam about the rape. But will Kim's pleading get through to Lydia?

Meanwhile, Cain and Caleb head into the abandoned Wylie's Farm on mysterious business.

Elsewhere, despite her best efforts to avoid Chloe, Charity is dragged into a conversation in the playground, before a cry from Reuben and a hot temperature makes paranoid Chloe worry for her son.

Soon recalling his meningitis, and with no one else to ask, panicking Chloe begs reluctant Charity to take her and unwell Reuben to the hospital. Once there, guilty and awkward Charity does her best to comfort thankful Chloe.
