I'm guessing Roy as the scriptwriters decide it will be a good idea to suddenly change his personality for no reason at all, as they are already doing.

That's a very good point - so obvious that I missed it completely.

No doubt following on from her success getting Damon acquitted, Dee Dee will spot this flaw when she represents Stephen in court at some point in the far distant future, and get him off, claiming Rufus didn't take adequate precautions when drinking with a mass murderer.

But Rufus did not know Stephen was a mass murderer so no cigar for Dee Dee.

Considering that the usual dose of LSD is only a small drop, the amount that Stephen poured into his drink was enough to send the whole of Weatherfield on a trip. Which should alert the police that Rufus may not have taken the drug willingly, unless of course it was suicide.

Now Now, we have been promised by the producer he will be found out by the end of the year... with 3 murders so far he should be eating porridge ( or be in the chokey ;) for at least 6 months

Before that no doubt we will have to endure both Michael and Paul being wrongfully accused. Michael because he lied about seeing Rufus that night and Paul because he stole his car and was therefore at the house. An interesting twist could be if the tie pin is found and Michel knows about it, would he tell the police or would he use it to blackmail Stephen into giving him a good job?

Looks like Rufus pulled it off when trying to get out of the pool.

The tie pin was already gone when Stephen pushed Rufus into the pool, but it was still there when they were drinking together and when he got up to help Rufus, so I presume it caught on the dressing gown while he was holding him.
