I wonder if there are any other places of comparable size to Weatherfield that also only has one police officer.

Tyrone is the owner of the house, he bought it from Jack & Vera (2008). Vera died before the deal went through but Jack honored the deal but stayed on as a lodger.
Here is a part of the 'wiki' article (I'm never sure if I can leave links here):
"No.9 is currently home to Fiz Stape and her daughter Hope Stape, and Tyrone Dobbs's daughter Ruby Dobbs. Tyrone had been Jack and Vera Duckworth's lodger when they owned the house. They sold it to him instead of leaving it to their son Terry as Tyrone had been a better son to them, despite not being a blood relation. The striking appearance of the house - namely the stone cladding - was Vera's idea, as she wanted it to stand out. Some years later, Vera renamed the house "The Old Rectory", when she was trying to out-do the neighbours. Tyrone moved out in April 2021 after he fell in love with Alina Pop."

I remember in the past Roy corrected someone's grammar when they asked him, "Can I get a cup of tea?" Roy replied saying something like, "No, I'm the owner. I will get it for you if you'll sit down."
I see in last night's episode he seems to have forgotten that. In the cafe with Asha. Nina (to Roy): "Can I get an iced bun?" Roy: "Certainly."

So Ty is to sell his house so Fiz and Phill can live together in a bigger house? Is Phill going to rip them off financially? What happened to the rumour that he is Ty's secret brother?
Please writers do not go in that direction---we do not need more weird relatives---we have enough of them already!
