Adam was quite right to put his foot down. I'd like to know how he's managing. His job won't be that highly paid, he's got internet, utilities, rent and council tax plus normal living expenses. He'll get child benefit but even then he can frequently pay Nicky, always seems to have drink.

Meanwhile, my position I struggle on ?75 a week.

True, he's suffering from grief, most certainly depression, isolation to an extent and not just Covid related. It's actually been surprising that we've heard talk of Tracy being more understanding, the writers seem to have made her more sympathetic of others recently both with Daniel and Leanne.

I'm wondering if Nicky is actually feeling guilty hence why she seems to be making excuses that she's busy.

I know myself I've been suffering from depression for some time and someone saying get a grip or even being well intentioned and saying things will get better or even worse, cheer up can be intensely frustrating.

Geoff's argument that he and Yasmeen own 50% of the bistro between them and he has power of attorney still means sweet FA, Alya still owns 50%. He shouldn't be able to get an alcohol licence on his own, this doesn't seem to have been written well.
