I do not understand why she did not go to the police at the time when she was injured, or did they explain that, and I have forgotten.

Talking of coincidences, which I know are very rare in Coronation Street. How about Fiz just happening to bump into Alina and Alina just happening to drop her phone.....?

Yes, I can understand that, but now she has absolute proof with the DNA she can get him banged up for a long time. As things are at present, it's him who should be afraid of her, not make further threatening moves against her.

That is what he is like though, like Tom in Emmerdale, control freak, abuser and like Tom who is scared to "lose" his victim, Joel is scared that Lauren will report him so he is using the little bit of scare tactics he still has to stop her... I really cannot wait for this storyline to be over...

I do not think Lauren wants justice she wants him to provide the means to go to Ireland, though what she will do when she gets there, I do not know. Is she expecting Joel to provide for her for the rest of her life? The time for justice was when he battered her.

Well they both need to go shopping, and if you have your phone in your hand while carrying your shopping, you must expect to drop it. Nothing really "unusual" there. But I am beginning to wonder if the Chariot Square Hotel is the only hotel in Weatherfield.

Very lucky too that the phone is still ok and how cute that it showed the picture of her with a little boy

Yes, that's very true. I hadn't thought of that. Every time I go out shopping I bump into dozens of people I haven't seen for several years and who just happen to be in the country for a brief period. Also, people are always dropping their phones whenever I meet them. Thank you for reminding me.

Also, is the trial being held in Weatherfield? I'm not aware they have any law courts there that could cope with such a high profile trial.
