The sort of scenes that put Corrie head and shoulders above all the other soaps.

I was less than impressed by the Toyah and Spider saga.

I haven't seen tonights episode yet but Spider is one I have always found smug, self righteous, annoying and really the quicker he goes (preferably permanently) the better.

I'd like to know what he's up to.

I'm also betting that something is going to happen to that savings account money.
What would be a real twist, if Spider turned out to be an undercover cop, working to get info on protesters.

Not that I think this will be the case.

Stephen is back to being annoying with the way he was talking to Adam, not to mention Leanne sniping at Adam.

"Adam Barlow has been with everyone".

Rich, coming from the former lady of negotiable affection, and even if you ignore that, she is certainly no shrinking violet. I am really surprised the Bistro manages to stay open when that is her attitude to everyone. If Leanne ever questions Debbie about the finances perhaps Debbie should shoot back that if Leanne acted like a human being to people they might get more customers.

I know it's a good thing to highlight domestic abuse and have a storyline about it, but I can't help thinking the fact it is all based on a false premise in this instance does detract from the story and leaves the whole question open to doubt when the man concerned can point, with justification in this case, to being falsely accused.

They already did the abuse story with Yasmeen and Geoff, perhaps they should have left it at that and just made this a story about false imprisonment and its effect on the family (Stu's wife and daughter) with maybe a corruption storyline thrown in and not dragged Yasmeen back into it.
