Coronation Street's Michelle Connor goes into meltdown later this month as she makes a heartbreaking attempt to move on from baby Ruairi's death too quickly.
Michelle (Kym Marsh) was left devastated this week as she gave birth to Ruairi just 23 weeks into her pregnancy, leading to tragedy as he was too underdeveloped to survive.
Viewers have already seen Michelle's marriage to Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) come under strain in the aftermath – and the problems continue when she insists on going for lunch with him at the Bistro in upcoming scenes.
Michelle is determined to show that she's bouncing back from what's happened, but it's clear that she's not coping when she hits the bottle hard.
She also reacts badly when Steve gently urges her to slow down, sparking a public meltdown which ends with her storming out of the Bistro and rushing off into the night.
With Steve already battling with his own grief and the guilt of the baby he's fathered with Leanne, he's in left in despair but frantically arranges a search party to track Michelle down again.
Can Steve support Michelle when she needs him the most, or will she look elsewhere for comfort?
