I managed a large call centre for a well known telephone company, but we dealt with incoming business callers, thats quite fun if you know your stuff. The staff were highly trained and although taught to up sell and always be closing there were no targets to earn your wage it was set regulated pay. \the staff were just slightly lower paid that a first line manager.

Then they started new part of the centre cold calling, they were payed considerable less, given basic training and given a script to follow, they would all start the job full of get em enthusiasms and burn out very quickly and normaly before even their trial period ended so the company would recruit more. Now thats the worst kind of call centre and I was happy that end didnt have anything to do with me although I was offered a promotion to run it, the lady that did take it on couldnt reach her targets and was sideways moved to a project which is the step before you leave as thats the end of your career.

Also the poor saps in the out going call centre where persuaded not to join the union, bad bad move.

I have sympathy for both Whitney and Lee. They're both victims of Lee's depression. Whitney appears to be being pushy, but she believes she's pushing in a direction Lee is more than happy to travel. Lee should have been honest about his feelings, but it's incredibly difficult to do that when suffering mental illness, especially if you have all kinds of expectations from loved ones weighing you down. It's especially difficult for young men like Lee who believe feeling depressed is a weakness and that they can snap themselves out of it.

If I was going to blame anyone for not noticing his deterioration and for piling on the pressure it'd be Mick and Linda. They've known Lee for 24 years and and have much more life experience than Whitney. However, I think it's all too easy to apportion blame when you're on the outside looking in and can see the bigger picture.

I'm embarrased to admit that I've been in a position where I didn't notice the signs in someone close to me despite being a lifelong sufferer myself.

Ah but thats the whole problem with mental illness, its not like a broken arm or leg, its hidden and even when its diagnosed some coves pops along and says "oh pull yourself together", blah blah blah. Mood swings in sufferers can really con on lookers, one moment they can be laughing along with the fun but then in the loo crying their heart out unseen.

Lee is backing himself deeper into a hole, he cant see himself getting out of it, the only person who has an inkling how to save him is Johnny, but all he has done so far is drive Lee deeper into the pit of despair.

Its a good story line and depressing as it may be its on the money so far.

He couldn't without her permission but she's given it now.

When did he become so full of himself?

I am really liking Derek. I wish he was returning full time. It was a bit odd having carols playing out late in the evening and it's 28th November?

I enjoyed the Dot Scenes, I also liked the Ronnie/Roxy/Jack scenes. I do feel sorry for Roxy. Pleased Tina has morals and told Kathy about trifle head Babe.

I didnt hear whiny Kathy thank Tina and it is the employers place to train their staff, it gets me so cross when someone tells you you should of known that its common sense, I mean I didnt know you cant lean a dusty monitor with glugs of good soapy water and a sponge. Anyway I bet Ian sacks her because dimbo Kath tells it wrong.

I suppose if Roxy isnt paying towards the mortgage its fair comment to say lets sell up then, personaly I would get in lodgers to pay it. I lump sum in back earns virtually nowt and is eaten up quickly by renting.
