Not just a boxing gym, but a "spit and sawdust" boxing gym, WITH CARPET ON THE FLOOR. If this is a spit and sawdust boxing gym, I am a Cockney (born and bred in Glasgow). I saw no sawdust and certainly no one spitting, that ring would fit in my front room. When my local gym opened there was no champagne and vol-au-vents, they just opened the doors at 10.00am and people walked in and started training, certainly no local press. They do like a good "opening" in Walford. Wonder if the boxer throwing up in the toilet ate the vol-au-vents.
