    Exclamation Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell)

Whether you love her or loathe her, there's bound to be trouble ahead when gobby Gemma Winter makes a surprise return to Coronation Street next week.

Callum Logan's former sidekick reappears on the cobbles when she arrives as the new work experience girl at Audrey Roberts's salon. Well, it certainly beats hanging around the dodgy Dog and Gun pub all day!

David Platt isn't pleased to see Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and doesn't show any sympathy when she pleads for a chance to turn her life around.

Just as Gemma is about to give up and go, she bumps into David's sister Sarah (Tina O'Brien) and is shocked to see that she's visibly pregnant.

Clever Gemma correctly guesses that Callum must be the baby's father, so she resorts to her old tricks by threatening to tell him everything unless she can keep her job. Hmm - we don't fancy Gemma's chances of passing on that particular message...

Naturally, David isn't too worried about this possibility either and calls Gemma's bluff, but he's hit with an idea when she claims that she only spoke to Callum a few days ago.

Realising it could help their murder cover-up if Gemma is mouthing off about Callum still being alive, David sneakily persuades Audrey to keep her at the salon after all.

Gemma is delighted to be given a trial, but will David live to regret his latest cunning plan?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, March 11 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.

She's got good chemistry with Chesney. I think she could make him more fun and interesting as his girlfriend.

I see what you mean, but something needs to be done to liven Chesney up. He and Sinead have no chemistry and are as dull as ditchwater together.

agree Ches needs to liven up, but I struggle to see what or how?

Well he seems a bit livelier in Gemma's company (she's made him laugh several times and he seemed to genuinely enjoy her company), which is why I thought they might make a good couple. Sinead could then be paired up with someone more suited to her.
