Paddy Kirk's marriage might be in serious jeopardy in Emmerdale, but actor Dominic Brunt is spending more time with his real-life wife than ever before - because she's just joined the cast.
Joanne Mitchell has been brought in to play Aaron Livesy's stepmum Sandra Flahery, and her first scenes will air next week.
Aaron will track Sandra down, knowing that she could be a key witness against his rapist father Gordon, but it soon becomes clear she knew more about the abuse than he thought.

Mitchell has previously filmed guest parts for the soap, but she may actually cross paths with Brunt this time due to Paddy's close connection to Aaron.
The couple have been married since 2003 and already work together in their free time on acclaimed horror films.
Sandra's dramatic scenes will air on Thursday, February 25 on ITV. The character has previously featured on the soap before, played by Janet Bamford between 2006 and 2008.
