Why is there a picture of a rusty padlock during the commercial breaks in Corrie?

I know it's a late reply, but I've just joined this forum for the first time.
The padlock is one still made by Squire, for I don't know how many decades. It's a Squire Old English padlock. There are four sizes: 220, 440, 660, 880. The one on Corrie is the 660, shown here:

Welcome to the forum Roger. Are you a padlock expert?
Thanks, Dazzle.
Not really an expert, but as a kid my hobby was collecting keys and locks. So every time I see that padlock on Corrie, I automatically think "Squire 660"
I remember I had a 220 and a 440 in my collection.
Is that an admission of sad?

I know what you mean. Or is it just us older gits who see kids today as missing out on what we had? Just the same as my parents said to me.
Social media - pah, humbug!
Kids today wouldn't know where to begin to pick four lever lock...
