Monday
Sonya wonders how she is going to juggle everything after learning that she was elected as Mayor. Toadie tries to reassure her, but as demands and meeting times start flooding in before she is even on the clock, Sonya knows she's in for a rollercoaster ride.
When Paul tells Sonya about the Quill group's development of Lassiters, she is further thrown and begins to question whether she will be able to do this job. Toadie buoys her and when Paul confronts her again, accusing her of a lack of focus, Sonya stands up to him.
Meanwhile, Steph is stunned when Charlie turns up by himself, wanting to spend time with her. When Lyn arrives too, she convinces Steph that this is a great opportunity to get to know her son again and talk to him about the adoption. However, when Lyn later spots Philippa pulling into the drive, Steph is aware that this could derail everything.
Elsewhere, desperate to make some serious cash to grow her 'leaving the Cannings' kitty, Xanthe impulsively steals Brad's iPad. Unexpectedly, she discovers the SAC that he has written for Piper's class and takes advantage of it, selling it at school. When Piper discovers what Xanthe has, she asks her for a copy.
Tuesday
Philippa is unhappy to witness the growing bond between Steph and Charlie, so she takes Charlie away. She then gently probes Charlie over Steph's condition, before asking to see Lyn. Lyn explains the circumstances that led to Charlie arriving in Erinsborough, but she also lets slip that Steph has gone into business with Paul despite him previously scheming against her. Philippa tucks this information away.
Later, Philippa puts Steph in a position where she is unlikely to get much contact with Charlie whether she signs the adoption papers or not. Lyn thinks that all is lost, but Steph discovers the fire within - she's going to fight for Charlie and tears up the adoption papers.
Meanwhile, Brad learns from Susan that his students have done surprisingly well in their SAC. To Susan it's good news, but to Brad it's a worry. He confides in Piper that he thinks his iPad has been stolen and the exam was leaked from it. Piper realises where Xanthe's special access came from and decides to expose her best friend's wrongdoing.
Elsewhere, Lou sets about giving Doug a bucket list day to remember. When Doug gets home after an eventful day, he explains to Lauren that there's one item left on his list - to dance with a beautiful woman. She happily obliges his request, but as they dance, he mistakenly calls her Pam and kisses her neck. A shocked Lauren realises that Doug is much worse than she thought.
Wednesday
Sheila tries to crack down on Xanthe with tough love after the fiasco with the stolen exam. Things get worse for Xanthe when she gets a visit from Ainsley, who's outraged that her friends are turning on her because they're in trouble over the exam. She demands that Xanthe thinks of a way to win her friends back, or she'll make her life hell. Scrambling for a solution, Xanthe suggests that Ainsley could host a party at Paul's motel and sets about making it happen.
Unscrupulous Paul agrees to rent Xanthe a room on the condition that she puts the word out about his Executive Internship Program and provides a credit card as security. Digging herself a deeper hole, Xanthe steals a card from Sheila. When Steph finds out what's going on, she does the right thing and tells Sheila. Sheila promptly shuts the party down and has a blazing row with Xanthe, but it's cut short when Sheila suddenly collapses. Has Xanthe's bad behaviour pushed her too far?
Meanwhile, Doug has no memory of last night's incident, but Lauren still decides to tell Brad. When Doug realises what he did, he's mortified and flees. As Doug's loved ones sadly contemplate his deterioration, Lou shocks Lauren by deciding on a new "bucket list" dream - he wants to walk the Kokoda track.
Elsewhere, having decided to fight for access to Charlie, Steph is eager to get started and make the first move. Although Toadie urges caution, Steph is still determined to fight and Toadie reluctantly agrees to arrange for mediation to begin.
Thursday
Convinced she has caused Sheila's collapse, a desperate and guilty Xanthe calls on Piper for help. With first aid training kicking in, Piper calms a distressed Sheila. As the girls wait on news of Sheila at the hospital, Piper makes it clear that she will stand by Xanthe.
Soon afterwards, Sheila is embarrassed to learn that she hasn't suffered a heart attack - she's actually had a panic attack. When a protective Kyle wonders what caused it, Xanthe steels herself to come clean but is stunned when Sheila covers for her. Sheila makes it clear to Xanthe that she will always have her back and Xanthe is eager to make amends.
Meanwhile, Daniel alerts Sonya to the council's plan to remove some trees by the lake, making way for a new drainage system. Sonya promises that she will do what she can to save the trees, but she soon has to concede that the plan was approved before she was in office and digging an alternate path will prove costly to taxpayers.
Sonya's day gets worse when an unknown person vandalises the nursery. Convinced the attack is connected to the trees, Sonya is under pressure as she gives her first speech as mayor. When the event is derailed by Paige, who's come out fighting for the trees, Sonya cracks under pressure and dissolves into tears. Is this her first and last day as mayor of Erinsborough?
Elsewhere, Lauren is worried sick about Lou's plan to trek the Kokoda Track. Admitting her fear, she asks him to give up on his dream. Lou looks far from disappointed when he shows up with a new plan - to join the Erinsborough Over 50s Adventure Club.
Friday
Sonya is beating herself up about bursting into tears during her first speech as mayor. The situation isn't improved when she realises that her speech has spawned many memes on social media, mocking her inability to keep her cool. This makes Sonya wonder whether or not she's really cut out for the rigours of public office. But by the end of the day, Sonya has an idea...
At the same time, upset about the vandalism done to Sonya's nursery, Mark takes it upon himself to have a word to Paige. He knows she has a history of acting angrily without thinking. When Paige proclaims her innocence, Mark suspects it must be one of her protestors. However, when he comes across the real culprit, he's forced to eat his words and the rift between these two former lovers becomes even wider than ever.
Meanwhile, Tyler feels that Courtney is trying to control every aspect of his life. When Imogen witnesses one of Courtney's casual domestic habits up close, she agrees with Tyler that he needs to talk to Courtney. Unfortunately, when Tyler is honest with Courtney about his feelings, she breaks up with him. Imogen is sorry this happened, but Tyler believes it's all for the best. In Tyler and Courtney splitting up, have Imogen and Tyler grown closer?
Elsewhere, Terese gets angry when she discovers that Paul is doing everything in his power to make his new motel a cheap rip-off of Lassiters. Fighting fire with fire, Terese temporarily lowers room rates at Lassiters, hoping this will kill Paul's business before it's even started. Not to be daunted, Paul resorts to more dirty tactics, resulting in Paul and Terese being locked together in a dark and steamy storeroom.

It did look like she was lusting after Tyler in the preview video Neighbours released in December, which looks to be happening during the heat wave.

How stupid if Imogen starts lusting after Tyler after just getting back with Daniel!
Mind you, there are unconfirmed rumours flying around the net that both Ariel Kaplan and Harley Bonner (who are a real life couple) are leaving Neighbours soon. If true, Imogen and Daniel won't last long anyway.
