    Monday (1)

Having reached an impasse, Hayley is staying at Fiz and Tyrone's. At the same time, Roy is at the café, lost in worry. With her first-hand experience of cancer and its effects on a sufferer's family, Sally offers to speak to Roy. She's very honest about the way her cancer affected her, and as Roy admits that Hayley is showing no consideration for his feelings, he's on the brink of telling her about Hayley's plans.

However, when Hayley is suddenly taken ill and collapses, Fiz calls an ambulance and Roy puts their argument aside as he races over to be by her side.

Meanwhile, when Rita starts asking how long her ring will be at the jewellers, Dennis cracks and tells Tina of his stupid mistake. Knowing how upset Rita will be if she discovers Dennis has sold her ring, Tina insists on using the money from her surrogacy fee to buy it back from Tracy and Rob's shop. But as Tina faces a gloating Tracy, will it be that easy?

Elsewhere, as Michelle prepares to leave with Barry, insisting that he has to tell her mum how sorry he is, Liz tells Steve it's time to man up and support his girlfriend.

Also, as Stella and Gloria help out at the Bistro, Gail turns her back on David. But when he begs Gail to hear him out and let him see Lily and Max, will she let him back into Number 8?

    Monday (2)

At the hospital, tests reveal that Hayley has a bacterial infection. Roy fears that Hayley's cancer has spread, but he's assured that with antibiotics they should see a response in 24 hours.

As a concerned Fiz and Tyrone leave the couple to talk, still in the dark about what caused their row, a solemn Roy sits with Hayley. Her decision is still weighing heavily on his mind and when Hayley apologises for leaving him, Roy hopes Hayley has changed her mind about ending her life.

Meanwhile, as Tina and Tracy have a face off, Rob completes Dennis's transaction, selling the ring back to Tina for a considerable amount more than Dennis sold it for. Tina's disgusted and vows to get revenge on Rob and Tracy. When Tracy purposefully lets slip to Rita just where her ring has been for the last few days, Tina's more fired up than ever.

Elsewhere, as Gail hands David a bag of his clothes, he apologises for his terrible actions. Gail does feel some guilt for her part in proceedings but refuses to forgive David. A gutted David goes to leave, but when Kylie returns with Lily, his face lights up. Will Kylie allow him to see Lily, or will she continue to demand he stays away from her and the kids, despite her fear of being a single mum?

Also, Liz is loving pub life again but makes it clear to Steve that he'll need to pull his weight. Struggling to juggle work at both The Rovers and Streetcars, Steve starts to wonder what he's let himself in for.

    Wednesday

Roy is relieved to hear the antibiotics are fighting Hayley's infection. Knowing they need to talk, Hayley thanks Roy for not telling anyone about her intention to end her own life.

Still vehemently opposed to her plans, Roy vows to try and change her mind. But when Hayley insists that won't happen, will the couple find a way forward?

Meanwhile, Tina confronts Rob and tells him if Tracy ever pulls a stunt like that again, she'll come looking for her. Peter listens and is impressed. Tina finds David living rough and offers him a bed for a few nights, but when a furious Tommy finds out, how will he react?

Elsewhere, determined to win Faye round, Sally suggests a trip to the cinema. Faye's not impressed but Anna urges her to be polite. However, when Tim fails to show up, will Faye use this as an excuse to get out of spending time with Sally?

Also today, Chesney is gutted when his market stock is stolen from the lock-up.

    Friday (1)

Shocked by Tommy's actions and annoyed at Tracy, Tina spots the chance for some mischief making and plants a pair of lacy knickers down the passenger seat of Rob's unattended car.

Tracy has been gloating to Tina about her romantic boyfriend and how he's taking her out for a posh lunch. But how will she react when she finds the underwear? Will Tracy fall for Tina's prank as their bitter row escalates?

Meanwhile, as a hungover Tim tries to apologise to Sally for his no-show, she makes it clear she's had enough of his behaviour. She knows he's making her look a fool, but will Sally be warned off Tim and take Anna's advice? At the same time, Tim moans to Dev about Sally coming on too strong. Is this the beginning of the end for the couple?

Elsewhere, when Ches discovers that the insurance company won't pay out for his stolen stock as a colleague left the lock-up open, Chesney's gutted. Sinead does her best to stay positive, insisting that a new opportunity is round the corner for Chesney. Will he be buoyed by her belief in him?

Also today, Brian is having cold feet about fostering, but will he have the heart to shatter Julie's dream?

    Friday (2)

Tina is completely unrepentant as Tracy and Rob inspect the damage she's done to their shop. Intent on giving as good as she got, Tracy decides to make the damage worse in an attempt to increase their insurance claim.

As Tina faces a promising threat from her new enemy, has she bitten off more than she can chew?

Meanwhile, Tim has taken Dev's advice and has decided to do the right thing by Sally and put an end to their fling. However, when Sally tells him that she's sorry she's been too clingy, will Tim have second thoughts?

Elsewhere, when Chesney confides his woes in Dev, he shocks him by asking him to become manager of the kebab shop. Desperate to provide for his son, will Chesney agree?

Also, a new job catches Brian's eye.

Finally, Stella gives Nick hope that Leanne may return.

Nothing makes me madder than to see mothers use their kids to punish the fathers. Kylie isn`t exactly perfect herself - she sleep with another man...her brother in law for goodness sake. I`m not saying David is perfect for his revenge tactics, but Kylie is wrong here.

The departure of Coronation Street's Tommy Duckworth has been given an airdate.

Chris Fountain's character will make an off-screen exit on Wednesday, October 23.

The storyline sees Tommy decide to leave suddenly after discovering that his girlfriend Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) has moved homeless David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) into their flat.

Tina arrives home after inviting David to stay, only to discover that Tommy has left.

"It's Tommy. He proper kicked off when he found me here," David explains. "He went mental, saying how he always comes last with you and how you think you can do what you want."

Fountain was sacked by producers in August after he appeared in controversial rap videos on YouTube.

The footage featured Fountain wearing a mask, and included boasts of violence and rape.

In a statement released following his dismissal, the actor said: "I completely understand that ITV had no choice but to terminate my contract today. I have had two wonderful years playing Tommy Duckworth with only happy memories of my time on Coronation Street."
