While trying to discover Charlie's real identity, Chantelle begins to find her spirits lifting in his company, but will Arthur be able to keep a lid on his jealousy?

Meanwhile, when a best-forgotten figure from Serena's past comes to work at Holby, she finds her professional and personal lives clashing. However, rather than containing the problem, the battle lines are drawn immediately. Does she really want to bury the hatchet?

Elsewhere, Elliot is flying high as his relationship with Sharon grows stronger, but some shocking news threatens to blow them apart. When Elliot is forced to make an emotional decision, can he stay true to himself?

Tension mounts on Holby City next week as Chantelle Lane continues to take an interest in the mysterious 'Patient X', who she has nicknamed 'Charlie'.

Chantelle (Lauren Drummond) is convinced that she can help the man, who is unable to remember anything about himself.

As Chantelle comes up with various ways to discover the patient's identity, Arthur Digby (Rob Ostlere) becomes increasingly jealous over their closeness and tries to get him discharged.

When Chantelle finally makes a breakthrough and solves the mystery, the staff wonder how much information it's safe to tell 'Charlie'.

As the discussions are ongoing, however, an unhappy Arthur takes matters into his own hands - and he could be making the biggest mistake of his career…

Also ahead on Holby next week, Serena Campbell is in for a shock when she discovers that her ex-husband Edward has started working at the hospital.

As viewers know, Edward - played by Aden Gillett - is a consultant anaesthetist who has joined the AAU as a locum.

Serena (Catherine Russell) is unsettled as Edward seems to be getting along well with all of her colleagues, who quickly learn of their connection.

Later, as Serena tries to make life difficult for Edward, they have a major difference of opinion over a patient. Is there any chance of them working together successfully?

Finally, while looking after Elliot Hope's dog Samson, Sharon Kozinsky (Madeleine Potter) is distracted for a moment, resulting in her hitting Samson with her car.

In a panic, Sharon doesn't tell Elliot (Paul Bradley) that she was the driver, but she faces his anger when he discovers the truth…
