Home and Away newcomers Maddy Osborne and Spencer Harrington are left questioning their future in Summer Bay on UK screens later this month.

Although Maddy (Kassandra Clementi) is determined that she wants to stick around in the Bay permanently, everything is thrown into doubt when her mother Tanya arrives after being contacted by Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker).

Maddy is quick to insist that she's not going anywhere and Tanya's arrival means nothing, but Spencer (Andrew Morley) and Roo both think that the current arrangement isn't going to work out in the long-run.

Spencer explains that he's willing to give his own parents another chance, and believes that Maddy should do the same with her family. Is it time for the two runaways to say goodbye to the Bay?

    Monday episode 701 - 18/03/13

Inspired by Tamara’s stand against wearing a girl’s school uniform, Sasha attempts to stage a protest against sexism by starting a petition at school. Noticing that Rosie is miserable after her falling out with Sasha, Natalie offers her some advice on how to repair their friendship. She suggests that Rosie give Sasha space, if she sees Rosie enjoying her life she might want to be a part of it. Eager to see the girls happy, Natalie also suggests that Sasha asks for Rosie’s help with the protest. However, when Sasha does so, Rosie insults her, telling her that the petition is a stupid idea and that the boys think she looks hot in her uniform, why wouldn’t she want to wear it? It’s obvious that Rosie has taken Natalie’s advice on giving Sasha space a little too far.

Brax is furious to learn that Casey will have to go back to prison, sensing that Zac offered them a false promise in an attempt to make Casey give a statement. Tamara feels equally betrayed that she was kept in the dark, the whole time lead to believe Casey was free. While Zac maintains that he is still doing all he can, Brax has lost hope, telling Casey he has two options, ‘prison or run’. Adamant not to see Casey back behind bars Tamara pleads with him to run away. However, Casey insists that he can’t run from his problems anymore, from now on he is going by the book. Just as Casey has made this decision, Zac arrives with the news that his sentence has been reduced, he’s free. Tamara, Casey and Brax celebrate over a drink at Angelo’s but it seems Zac doesn’t share their joy. After Natalie clocks his mood he reveals to her that to aid Casey’s release, he lost his job. Inspired by Casey’s strength to do the right thing when it would be easier to just quit, Tamara decides to go back to school, even if that means she has to wear a girl’s uniform.

Arriving back from his specialist appointment, Romeo continues to keep his melanoma a secret from Indi. Noticing his distant mood, Indi assumes that he’s having second thoughts about the Gym. Romeo distracts her from questioning him with a gift; a bracelet engraved “soul mate”. Acting on the possibility that he may not be able to work for much longer, Romeo goes to see Casey to find out when he is going to be available, as he’s going to need someone sooner than he thought. Romeo receives a call from the hospital where Sid delivers devastating news; the melanoma is stage four, he may only have weeks to live.

    Tuesday episode 5702 - 19/03/13

After discovering the severity of his cancer, it’s clear that the Indi’s future is at the forefront of Romeo’s concern. He decides to take on Heath permanently at the Gym and even suggests they should look at selling. Indi assumes that all this is stemming from Romeo’s stress about the business and when Indi attempts to quell his worries by expressing her unwavering hope for them and their new business Romeo’s heart breaks. He tells Sid about the future that he and Indi had talked about and the plans they had made. He made a promise to always be there for her, he can’t tell her that he’s breaking that promise. Sid feels his pain.

Gina helps Tamara get up to speed before starting school, reiterating that she will need to where the girls uniform. Tamara doesn’t protest, now realising there are bigger things to argue about. Overhearing this, Sasha is downhearted. Tamara was who inspired her to start the petition and now she has turned around and said that she doesn’t care. However, her mood is lifted when Gina tell her how impressed she is with Sasha’s enthusiasm towards the petition. So much so, that she’ll take it to the P&C and help her fight for it. While Sasha is thrilled, she realises that she has no body to share her excitement with. She misses Rosie.

Kyle and Tamara begin to bond. Kyle stands up to Heath when he takes money out of the Angelo’s till, telling him that ‘the heath Braxton ATM is closed’, which impresses Tamara. Further, he offers to help Tamara study, confessing that, unlike his brothers, he actually did well at school, but was struggled having to deal with parent issues at the same time. He and Tamara realise they have more in common than they first thought. She agrees to let him tutor her. Witnessing their growing friendship, Heath offers Kyle a piece of advice – stay away from Tamara, if you make a move either Casey or I will kill you.

After beating Tilda at her own game, Jett has a newfound confidence. John and Gina are glad to see him so happy. Reminded of how rewarding parenting can be, Gina and John decide that they would like to become Jett’s parents, officially. However, when suggesting the idea of adoption to Jett he flies off the handle. Gina and John discover that Jett doesn’t feel worthy of being their son.

Heath’s also frustrated that Casey doesn’t appreciate who’s really got his back. Brax cracks it - he’s had enough. He calls a Braxton family meeting, where he delivers some home truths to his sparring siblings. He makes Kyle manager of Angelo’s and orders Tamara to testify for Kyle. They’re either behind each other, or they’re out. On a roll with sorting stuff out, Brax tells Natalie they’re not enemies, family or friends. She can get on with her life and he’ll get on with his. For Brax, the boundaries have been clearly drawn.

Gina and John don’t know how to handle Jett’s reaction to their adoption proposal. Jett avoids being at home by hanging out with Harvey and Spencer at the bait shop. Having Spencer around is bringing up memories of Harvey’s son Ben. Harvey tells Spencer he reminds him of Ben... Spencer reveals he feels like Roo and Harvey are his family. He decides that maybe the adoption could be a good idea.

She’s worried, he’s been pretty messed up since the divorce and he’s been bitter/depressed at home. He’s not in a state where he should be by himself. Kyle reveals to Romeo that Liam has been stealing from the till, that’s why he was sacked. Romeo finds Liam alone on the cliff top. He is in a bad place. April is confused. If Dex wants her in his life and loves her, then why can’t they be together? Bianca and Irene think that April should take advantage of the opportunity to be a strong, independent woman. Maybe she should find a study partner. On their advice, she invites Brett, spunky guy from her course, to meet her at the Diner to study – Brett has got the wrong idea, and he thinks this is a date, resulting in an awkward study session. Nothing’s going right for April. She and Dex realise they are a very special combo.

Heath agrees to play by Connie’s rules, he wants her to realise that he can be a responsible parent. But Connie’s not playing fair, and when Heath goes to pick Darcy up she doesn’t allow him to take her. Bianca manages to get Connie to come around, and Darcy is allowed to stay the night with Heath and Bianca. When it comes to going home in the morning, Darcy is unhappy. She wants to stay with Heath – he insists that they have to impress Connie as much as they can so that they can spend more time together, but under the pressure of Darcy’s upset, Heath allows her to skip school and spend the day with him. Bianca thinks it’s a very bad idea, but Heath doesn’t care, he just wants to be with Darcy and make her happy. Things go sour when the cops come to take Darcy, but agree to let Bianca take her back to Connie. Bianca is angry at Heath’s attitude. She thinks that he should see a councillor.

Maddy is upset that Spencer doesn’t want to sleep with her. Roo and Marilyn console her. Roo thinks that it must be something Harvey said and proceeds to give him an earful. They can’t seem to see eye to eye on this one – blaming each other on the advice they gave. Alf thinks that they should stop dishing out advice and look at their own situation. Overhearing, Maddy thinks that she is the one who’s caused the fight. Roo tells her not to worry, they always argue, but they should try harder not to. Roo and Harvey talk about their marriage and Harvey reveals that he still loves her more and more than ever.

Sid asks Liam to encourage Romeo to tell Indi, he’s going to be very sick after chemo; he won’t be able to hide it. However, Liam maintains that it is Romeo’s decision to make. He sits with Romeo during his chemo session, who is stoic but it’s obvious that he is hurting.

Dex emails the hospital to see if he can have his old job back – when he goes to the hospital to have an interview he runs into Liam and Romeo. Liam covers, saying that Romeo was visiting him after he was getting a check-up. Dex is suspicious. He asks Indi if she knows what’s going on with Liam, as he saw him and Romeo at the hospital. After being told Romeo was going to the bank, Indi isn’t happy about being lied too and is worried about Liam. Indi confronts Romeo, who is feeling unwell after his chemo session. Listening in, Sid thinks that Romeo is about to finally let Indi know the truth but yet again he covers. He then tells Sid that he’s decided to stop treatment, to protect Indi, he doesn’t want to have to hide his symptoms before he finds the right time to tell her. Sid is not happy but has to respect his decision. Meanwhile, Dex got his job back; however, he’s put on a three-month probation. He’s disappointed, but April helps him see the bright side.

Bianca encourages Heath to get counselling to show Connie that he is making an effort. Heath is reluctant but Bianca explains to him that if he wants to see Darcy when he needs to look good on paper. However, when he goes to see Natalie, she tells Heath that she can’t help him, staying true to her ‘no more Braxtons’ pledge, but recommends him to another psychologist. Heath and Bianca met with the counsellor, baby-faced Robin and Heath is immediately standoffish. Robin begins the session by asking about Heath’s father and Heath is out the door. He’s not interested. Heath arches up at Natalie for sending him to Robin. Zac stands up for her, telling Heath that she’s trying to distance herself from his family, but she still cares what he’s going through. Zac advises him to take a good hard look at his priorities – if this is something that he needs to do then he should stop whinging, be a man and suck it up. Heath takes this advice and goes back to see Robin.
