This from a woman whohelped another woman take a child from Phil. Lola has no say in the matter once Phil gets his hands on Lexi.

Coming up on EastEnders, Phil Mitchell buys an engagement ring for Sharon Rickman as they go ahead with plans to deceive social services.

Sharon agrees to pretend to be Phil's fiancée in upcoming episodes after he convinces her that it's the best chance the Mitchells have of winning baby Lexi back.

Although Sharon's boyfriend Jack disapproves of the idea, he agrees to go along with it as it's clear that Sharon feels it is the right thing to do to help Lola.

Jack soon starts to struggle, however, as Phil (Steve McFadden) demands more of Sharon's time to discuss an upcoming visit from a social services officer, during which they'll have to make a good impression as a 'couple'.

Later, Sharon (Letitia Dean) is shocked when Phil presents her with an engagement ring. She soon accepts that it's necessary to make their relationship seem completely authentic, but how will Jack react when he sees the ring?

    Monday

Masood's financial worries are mounting up as he knows that he cannot make the mortgage payment after AJ spent the money on a motorbike. A desperate Masood visits Syed to ask for a loan, but is left disappointed when his son is unable to help. He is also shocked to hear that Christian has left Syed. Back at home, Masood considers trying his luck on a gambling website, but before he goes ahead with this drastic plan, AJ reveals that he has sold the motorbike and they can now pay the mortgage.

With things looking brighter for now, AJ decides to go all-out to celebrate Bonfire Night. AJ has bought a stash of fireworks and even hired dancing girls for the occasion. As the festivities begin on the Square, Masood insists to AJ, Syed and Tamwar that they should all stick together from now on. However, the celebrations are cut short when Zainab returns unexpectedly and switches off their music…

Meanwhile, Christian heads to the Beale residence as he needs somewhere to stay following his split from Syed. An emotional Christian tells Lucy that he hopes he'll still be allowed to be a part of Yasmin's life. Lucy is sympathetic and urges Christian to try making things work with Syed. Taking this on board, Christian visits Syed. Syed begs him to come home, but still can't bring himself to say that he loves Christian. As a result, Christian is forced to walk away and things between them aren't resolved.

Elsewhere, Jack is happy as he returns from a weekend away with Sharon, but he soon grows annoyed when Phil demands more of Sharon's time to discuss the residency case. Later, Sharon is shocked when Phil presents her with an engagement ring, but she accepts that it's necessary to make their relationship seem authentic. However, Jack isn't best pleased when she is unable to remove the ring.

Also today, Alfie and Kat seem close again as they sit cuddled together watching the fireworks from Tommy's room, while Kim is disheartened as everything seems to be going wrong at the B&B.

    Tuesday

Phil, Lola and Billy are determined to impress as they prepare for the visit from the social services officer. When Sharon arrives, she is surprised to hear from Phil that they're now going for foster care of Lexi rather than residency, as they stand a better chance of winning the case that way. When the officer arrives, Phil and Sharon manage to put on a good performance, but things turn slightly sour when they're asked about Ben pleading guilty to manslaughter.

Phil struggles with the questions about Ben and makes an excuse to leave the room, but Sharon follows him into the kitchen and reminds him that they're doing this for Lexi. Geared up again, Phil returns to the living room with Sharon and things get back on track as they create a realistic impression of a couple in love.

Later, the officer joins Phil at The Vic to discuss his businesses. When Jack spots the officer, he reveals that he knows him from his old job in the police force. Jack agrees to put in a good word for Phil and Sharon, although he isn't pleased when the officer mentions to him how well-suited the 'happy couple' seem to be.

Meanwhile, Syed is concerned when he is unable to find Christian, but Roxy warns him that he should leave Christian alone until he actually knows what he wants. When the doorbell rings later, Syed hopes that Christian has paid another visit. However, it's actually Amira who he finds on the doorstep. Amira soon drops the bombshell that she is getting married and wants Yasmin to come and live with her and her fiancé in Birmingham.

Elsewhere, Zainab apologises to Masood for walking out on him. She is also shocked to hear that Syed's marriage is already on the rocks, but when she visits her son to discuss it, he warns her to stop interfering. Still feeling guilty, an apologetic Zainab announces to the whole family that she's going to stop complaining and meddling in everyone's lives from now on. The Masood men scoff at this promise, but can Zainab prove them all wrong?

Also today, Kim is startled when she hears that an environmental health officer is doing the rounds, so she dumps bin bags full of out-of-date food into an alley.

    Thursday

Syed pays a visit to his family and shares the news that Amira wants to have full-time custody of Yasmin in Birmingham. He is considering agreeing to this, believing that Amira can offer Yasmin a much better life than he can. With Zainab sticking to her promise not to interfere, she declines to give an opinion on the matter, even though she is desperate to! Masood also keeps quiet and insists that it's time Syed took responsibility for his own actions.

Later, Amira tells Syed that he should speak to Christian before making a decision, as it's only fair that he should be involved too. When Syed consults Christian, he repeats how much he wants them to be a family. Christian is desperate to be a part of Yasmin's life, but he insists that it would never work as it's obvious that he isn't enough for Syed. Left to make his decision alone, Syed tells Amira that Yasmin is all hers.

Meanwhile, Kim is supplying her B&B guests with café-bought breakfasts due to her broken cooker. However, her problems escalate when Ray discovers the reason for the cooker issue - mice have chewed through the cable. Kim is also using a cool-bag full of ice and freezer bags of food as a make-shift fridge.

Later, an environmental health officer arrives at the B&B to investigate a complaint from a guest who found mouse droppings on her plate at breakfast. Kim insists that the café must be at fault as that is where the breakfast was cooked, but when the inspector investigates and discovers that the café is mice-free, the pressure is put back on Kim. The inspector soon discovers Kim's makeshift fridge and the mice infestation, so he insists that she closes her kitchen until she sorts out her many problems.

Elsewhere, Kat promises to plan a special night for her and Alfie tomorrow but is left in turmoil when she receives another text from her mystery lover, Billy feels sidelined when he discovers Lola, Sharon and Phil enjoying a family lunch without him, while AJ tests Zainab's resolve to stop interfering by purposely doing things that will irritate her.

    Friday

Alfie prepares for his romantic date with Kat, but suddenly the three Branning brothers arrive and he realises that they have a poker night planned. He confirms that he can't make it, but invites the trio to stay and have their poker game at The Vic. In the kitchen upstairs, Derek, Jack and Max spot a pawn note for an engagement ring, so Alfie explains how Kat recently pawned her mother's ring to help solve all of their problems.

Later, Kat reveals her surprise for Alfie, which is a romantic candelit meal at the B&B. As they get chatting over dinner, Kat questions why Alfie puts up with her, but is reassured when he lists all of the reasons why he loves her. The pair have a perfect date together, with the only interruption coming from a mouse in the wine cooler!

Back at The Vic later, Kat is shocked to find an envelope addressed to her containing her mother's engagement ring. It's clear that one of the Branning brothers took the pawn slip from the notice board and got the ring back for her. But which Branning was it?

Meanwhile, Christian agrees to join Syed for dinner following some encouragement from Lucy. However, as Christian talks about how much he has missed Yasmin, Syed feels guilty as he's already agreed that she can live with Amira. When Syed asks for his husband's forgiveness, Christian brands him arrogant, immature and a lying cheat. However, Syed responds by admitting that he's just been too proud to admit that he loves Christian - in fact, he loves him more than ever. Will Syed and Christian reunite, or is there more trouble ahead?

Elsewhere, Roxy offers Michael some company after hearing that he is babysitting Tommy. After dinner, Michael suggests that Roxy and Amy should move in with him - no strings attached

Zainab Khan arrives back on Albert Square and finds a scene that she wasn't expecting in EastEnders tonight (November 5).

Viewers saw Zainab (Nina Wadia) leave Walford unexpectedly after the Masood family's financial problems escalated last month, but she heads back home this evening in the hope of building bridges with her loved ones.

As the Masood men are unaware that Zainab is due back, her reappearance comes just as they are busy hosting a lively fireworks party out on the Square, complete with loud music and dancing girls.

However, when Zainab turns up, switches off the music and orders the girls to put some clothes on, it seems that the night of celebration will be cut short! Can Zainab get on good terms with her family again?

Phil Mitchell and Sharon Rickman try to prove themselves as the best possible guardians for baby Lexi in EastEnders tonight (November 6).

Posing as a couple in a desperate bid to bring Lola's daughter back home to Walford, Phil (Steve McFadden) and Sharon (Letitia Dean) prepare to put on the performance of their lives as a social services officer arrives to ask them some questions.

To the pair's relief, the officer seems fooled as they pretend to be an item, but the atmosphere becomes awkward when they are asked how things went so wrong with Ben.

Phil is momentarily startled as he is reminded of his son's dark crime. However, he and Sharon soon bounce back by reminding their visitor that no parents are perfect, but they can promise a loving home for Lexi. Will their efforts pay off?
