Bad Education, Jack Whitehall's new BBC Three comedy, broke the channel's record for the highest-rated first episode of a comedy.
The 10pm comedy, penned by Whitehall and also starring Mathew Horne, averaged an impressive 830k (4.3%) at 10pm yesterday (August 14) and 310k (7.5%) at 12.30am.
Whitehall's programme - dubbed the new Gavin & Stacey - has overtaken sketch show Horne and Corden's 817k (5.7%) from 2009.
