Monday

After meeting with a very persuasive Jenny, Carla tells Frank that he can buy her out. As she announces her decision to the staff, Frank and Jenny are smug about duping Carla. But in The Rovers, a bitter Sally reveals that Carla's friend and new business partner Jenny is in fact Frank's lover.

Horrified, Michelle realises that Carla is being set up and races to the factory with Sally. As Peter and Carla join Anne and Frank to sign the deal, will they arrive in time to prevent Carla from being scammed?

Meanwhile, with Stella out, Karl installs a huge flat screen TV in the pub to transmit football matches. The oldies are disgruntled and complain to a returning Stella. She tells Karl to take it down, but as a row breaks out, will he agree?

Elsewhere, Dennis tells Rita that it might be time for him to move on, Peter wants Simon back at home but Deirdre refuses when he goes to collect him from the Barlows' drunk, while Sean and Marcus return from holiday to find Eileen looking after Lesley, who's unsettled by their arrival and demands they leave.

Carla is horrified as Frank, Anne and Jenny gloat. Outside the factory, Frank tries to cause more trouble when he sees Leanne, telling her about Peter's drunken state and claiming that he fears for Simon's safety. Leanne heads to the flat, and seeing both Peter and Carla drinking, she tells Peter that she's going for custody of Simon. On the edge, Peter goes on a massive bender, which sees Nick throwing him out of the wine bar.

In turmoil herself, Carla returns to the factory to have it out with Frank alone. However, he ridicules her then threatens to rape her again, leaving Carla terrified. Back at the pub, the factory staff are stunned to hear they no longer have jobs as Kevin rants about Frank's treatment of Sally.

Spotting the lights on at Underworld, Sean and Julie decide to confront Frank, but they're horrified to find Sally kneeling over Frank's body with blood on her hands. Has she killed him?

Elsewhere, Ken blames Karl's new satellite dish when his TV goes on the blink, Marcus and Sean agree to stay away and give Lesley some space, while Dennis warns Lewis off when he tries to flirt with Rita.



Thursday

Frank's lifeless body remains in the factory as the police investigate the crime scene. Detectives question Sally, who admits that while she was angry with Frank, there were other people with bigger axes to grind. Michelle breaks the news of Frank's death to Carla, who becomes worried about Peter's absence as he didn't come home last night.

Later, Anne arrives at the scene as Frank's body is being removed and tells the police they should arrest Carla. At the bookies' flat, they grill Carla about her turbulent relationship with Frank. Covering Peter's absence, she admits that she hated Frank but denies killing him.

As the day continues, Carla is alone in the flat when Peter eventually returns. She goes for him before breaking down as Peter confesses that he went on a bender and has no idea where he spent the night. Spotting blood on his clothes, Carla realises this doesn't look good and challenges him about it. Did Peter kill Frank?

Elsewhere, Stella leaves Karl stranded on the roof of The Rovers as a punishment after demanding that he takes the satellite dish down, Audrey orders Gail to leave Lewis alone as he's doing a good job at the Bistro, while Rita is taken aback when Dennis announces that he has a new job in Birmingham.



Friday

As Carla tries to get Peter to remember where he was, they agree to wash his clothes and maintain that he was at the flat all night. When Peter is then taken to the police station for questioning, he sticks to his story - claiming that after leaving the Bistro he went straight home. However, on the street, Jason finds a broken whisky bottle in the builder's skip covered in blood and hands it to the police.

Back at the station, Peter is feeling the pressure and when the detectives demand to know how he could have bought a bottle of whisky from an off licence when he claimed to be with Carla, it looks like the net is closing in!

Meanwhile, as Karl mourns the loss of his satellite dish, he complains that he's just Stella's hired help. Sunita is dissatisfied with her lot too as Dev refuses to cancel a business meeting for a night out. All dressed up with nowhere to go, she heads to the Bistro, where Karl takes one look and suggests he could take her to the casino. Will Sunita agree?

Elsewhere, neither Rita nor Dennis want to be separated but they struggle to be honest with each other, Doctor Carter advises Eileen and Paul that they need help after Lesley scalds herself with the kettle, while Nick finds £50 missing from the till and Gail tells him it's bound to be Lewis.

Under relentless questioning, Peter admits to the police that he was drunk and has no idea where he was when Frank was murdered. But in no position yet to charge him, they're forced to let Peter go. Back on the street, Peter accuses Carla of thinking he killed Frank. Refusing to go home with her, he heads to the pub where he continues to drink.

At the same time, Anne has found the new factory contract is mysteriously missing from Frank's desk and conveys the significance of this to the police. Combined with the finger print analysis on the whisky bottle, the police are now convinced they've got their murderer and head to the street to make an arrest. Are they coming back for Peter or are all eyes now on Carla?

Meanwhile, when Gail accuses Lewis of stealing the £50 and Nick doesn't back him, he resigns on the spot. Hearing this, Audrey confronts him about where he got the money for the bracelet. Lewis is crushed. When Eva then arrives back having been shopping for the Bistro, Nick and Audrey realise their mistake. Horrified, Audrey goes after Lewis.

Elsewhere, Rita returns home with Dennis to drop his bags before they head off to The Rovers to reveal their big news, Karl and Sunita return to the street on a high after their secret night at the casino, while Paul and Lesley head to the Bistro.

Earlier spoilers included Frank's mother among the suspects. I would have thought it would be her then she can be written out.Unless one of the regulars is leaving?
