I wondered if Danielle Harold's lengthy absence from our screens was due to the actress being suspended or ill. We know that several of the younger actors have been suspended for months at a time, and Kim was absent for ages leaving viewers to wonder what was going on (we later learned she was pregnant).

If there have been behaviour issues it would explain why DTC isn't keen to have her around.

(I must stress this is all speculation on my part so Danielle is probably innocent of any wrongdoing.)

I agree she's a good actress and I think there was a lot more that could be done with the character.

I'm sure I read that she missed a year of school or something due to illness. There are some who get ill frequently and can't do anything about it. Part of it must have been illness or suspension, I don't think Lola's appeared enough to meet minimum contract criteria otherwise (this was a contract given by Newman, who seemed to rate the character.) We're talking about nearly two years of underuse though, so I think a part of it is that the character isn't rated by DTC.

Fatboy/Ricky Norwood was suspended and yet he seems to have appeared more than Lola during DTC's tenure!

I think it was, it seemed very final, and Danielle and Perry seemed genuinely upset. It was extremely rushed and ill thought out!
