    Kidnap and Ransom

Kidnap and Ransom stars one of the UK's leading screen actors, Trevor Eve (Waking the Dead, Framed) as international hostage negotiator, Dominic King. When Naomi Shaffer gets kidnapped in South Africa on business, Dominic King, a kidnap and ransom negotiator, is responsible for bringing her home. With the help of his colleagues, Dominic quickly establishes that the kidnappers are amateur street kids and out of their depth. Haunted by memories of his previous negotiation failing, he is keen to secure Naomi’s swift release. Despite having to leave his family again so soon, he flies to Cape Town to appease the kidnappers’ demand by promising $100,000 in cash. Everything seems to be going smoothly but at the handover things go horribly wrong. Helen Baxendale, Emma Fielding and Patrick Baladi also star.
It is on tonight at 9pm on ITV 1

Trevor Eve returns as international hostage negotiator, Dominic King in the second series of the thrilling Kidnap and Ransom.

    Episode One

Srinagar, Kashmir. Dominic King is negotiating the release of a British Asian family kidnapped while on holiday visiting their son Mahavir. As the handover is completed, the police arrive and a shoot-out ensues. The kidnappers (Anwar and Leela) get away with Mahavir and in their panic they board a tourist bus, taking all the passengers hostage. Dominic must negotiate with Anwar, whilst trying to convince the police not to attack.

Beth, a housewife in Manchester, sees the coach on the news and realises her parents and husband, Shaun, are hostages, and heads to Srinagar. When Anwar learns his family has been arrested he threatens to kill a hostage an hour until they are released.

Dominic persuades Anwar to give him until dawn to get the family released but things escalate when Carrie and Dominic discover there is someone important on board the bus.

    Episode 2 of 3 Thursday, 1 March 2012, 9:00PM - 10:00PM

Just as kidnapper, Anwar Razdan is about to kill the first hostage held aboard the tourist bus, Dominic King (Trevor Eve) shows him proof that his family have been temporarily released. It's now up to Dominic to negotiate the release of the hostages before anyone discovers the British Foreign Secretary’s daughter, Flo Holland (Kimberley Nixon), is on board.

When the hostages begin to leave the bus an Indian police sniper takes a shot at Anwar. As panic ensues, Anwar starts the engine and drives the bus away. The bus speeds through the streets of Kashmir and the police give chase. When the police track it down they find Anwar and Leela are missing, and have taken Flo and another hostage, Shaun Cooper.

Although having been reunited with her parents, Shaun's wife Beth is terrified for his safety and pleads with Dominic to help negotiate his release. And Flo's father finds himself in an impossible position: publicly having to condemn any negotiations but privately wanting Dominic to secure his daughter’s release.

Dominic is surprised when Leela calls him, willing to release Flo if she can return to Britain. Knowing Anwar will be trying to sell Flo to the highest bidder in return for money, Dominic goes to meet Leela, only to discover they have disappeared. Dominic travels back to his hotel where he is faced a horrible shock.
