Bruno Mars is on course to top the charts this Sunday with 'Grenade'.
The singer's latest release will become his second solo UK chart-topper if he holds onto the position until Sunday.
Behind Mars, Jessie J leaps five to two with 'Do It Like A Dude', and Adele vaults 22 places to number five with 'Make You Feel My Love'. The song, which originally peaked at number four in 2008, has sold almost 450,000 copies to date.
Elsewhere, David Guetta and Rihanna's 'Who's That Chick?' climbs three places from 10 to seven, while Tinie Tempah edges closer to the top ten with 'Invincible' at 11.
JLS currently stand at 16 with 'Eyes Wide Shut', and the Glee Cast land at 26 and 34 respectively with their renditions of 'Telephone' and 'Empire State Of Mind'.
On the album chart, Rihanna is on course to spend a third week at number one with Loud. The star's fifth studio LP has sold over 900,000 copies in the UK since its November release.
Ellie Goulding's Lights climbs from eight to four, Adele's 2008 LP 19 re-enters the top ten at five, and Emma's Imagination's debut Stand Still debuts at seven.
The official chart is announced on Sunday between 4pm and 7pm.

Bruno Mars has blasted his way to the top of the UK singles chart with new track 'Grenade'.
The Los Angeles-based performer netted the title of fastest-selling January single for 15 years, after shifting close to 150,000 copies of his sophomore solo effort. The last song to achieve bigger figures in the first month of the year was Babylon Zoo's 'Spaceman', which sold 383,000 back in 1996.
Only Help For Haiti charity track 'Everybody Hurts', Matt Cardle's 'When We Collide' and Cheryl Cole's 'Promise This' posted greater first week sales in 2010.

Really good song but can't help but feel a tad depressed after listening to it!
Bruno Mars has been given a year's probation after pleading guilty to cocaine possession.
Reuters confirmed that a Las Vegas courtroom had accepted a plea bargain entered earlier this month.
Mars's lawyer Blair Berk told the court: "He is going to stay out of trouble for 12 months."
The Grammy winning musician was given 200 hours' community service and must attend drug counselling sessions as part of the plea deal. He was also fined $2,000 (£1,242).
If Mars meets the conditions of the plea deal, the charge will be cleared from his record. However, the Daily Mail claims that he could face up to four years in prison if he breaches the agreement.
