PC Lance Powell tries a new tactic on the Cole Lane Estate by uniting a pensioner called Charlie Sarsa with the youths he is in contention with through a game of cricket. Later, Lance tries to persuade a lad to grass up a local newsagent selling booze to under age youngsters in exchange for some cricket kit. Cole Lane resident PCSO Laura Bryant is fed up that all Lance is after is a result. Will Lance be able to redeem himself?
Meanwhile, Acting DC Gary Best thinks he might have romantically and professionally scored with his new boss DI Morell. He ends up humiliated when he sets up a drugs bust on the Cole Lane Estate without warning Lance and Laura, and a teenage boy they’re working with almost gets caught in the cross fire. And the drug dealer turns out to be more small fry than big fish. Has Gary blown all credibility?
