Ben realises that he went to school with James, the latest customer at The Arches. James flirts with Ben, leaving him feeling uncomfortable.
Later, Rocky loses patience with the way that Ben is treating Kathy. He snaps at Ben and tries to issue some home truths. Ben responds by trying to punch Rocky, but when Kathy steps in, Ben accidentally punches her instead.
Meanwhile, Mitch surprises Avery with a Caribbean-themed party at the launderette. The brothers reminisce and their heart-to-heart ends with Avery passing away.
Elsewhere, Kheerat is grateful when Suki makes an effort by inviting Stacey for dinner.
Also today, Kim suggests Howie should stay with her permanently as he has been evicted.

Kheerat is worried about Ben and suggests that Callum should check in with him. Soon afterwards, Ben snaps at Kathy when she encourages him to get some help. Kathy takes drastic action by vowing not to speak to Ben until he does so.
Ben agrees to go for a date with James and takes him to The Arches, where they kiss. He then accepts an offer from James by taking some drugs.
Meanwhile, Howie struggles to adapt to his new position as bartender at The Albert.
Elsewhere, Karen hands Mitch a letter she found from Avery, which contains a shocking discovery. Finlay and Felix discuss extravagant funeral plans, but Mitch now has knowledge which could change things.

Ben wakes up in The Arches and hides the drugs when Kheerat arrives. Kheerat reflects on their friendship, but this makes Ben feel guilty for what he did to Jags. Full of self-loathing, Ben takes more drugs.
Kheerat realises that Ben is high when he spots him causing a scene at the club. Kheerat tries to get Ash to check on Ben, but he refuses their help and shocks the Panesars by revealing that he killed Jags by stopping the protection.
Meanwhile, Kathy gives Jay a suitcase of Ben's things and explains that he accidentally hit her. Later, Jay arranges to meet Lola for a drink, heading there alone after Honey falls asleep on the couch.
Elsewhere, Mitch and Karen tell Felix and Finlay what has happened.
