Next week on Holby City, Jac is forced to accept her fate, while Hanssen makes a heartbreaking decision and there's another surprise return.

Here's a full collection of the eight biggest moments to watch out for:

1. Hanssen has important news for the team

It?s the moment of truth, as Hanssen learns whether the hospital is coming out of 'special measures' or not.

To everyone's surprise, it's good news and Hanssen is later able to tell his team that they're out of the woods.

But as we know, there's ultimately going to be no happy ending with this one, sadly.

2. Jac fights for her future

As the symptoms of her tumour worsen, Jac becomes determined to find a surgeon willing to take a risk and operate on her.

However, after meeting with a familiar face, Jac is encouraged to face up to her bleak future and tell her friends what's really going on.

With a heavy heart, Jac takes this advice on board and later tells her heartbroken colleagues that she has a terminal brain tumour and is dying.

3. There's another surprise return

The returns just keep on coming, and fans will be greeted by another face from the past in next week's episodes.

Holby City recently teased another return as part of Jac's story over on Instagram, and she'll meet with a former hospital surgeon as a last ditch attempt to save herself. But who will it be? Tune in next week to find out.

4. Madge has a decision to make

Madge is still facing the music after being outed as the hospital mole, while Kylie worries about her welfare following recent revelations.

As Madge prepares to discharge herself from hospital, she gets a frosty reception from the majority of her colleagues, who are unable to forgive her duplicitous actions.

The pressure on Madge intensifies when Regina makes it clear that she's still determined to bring down Holby.

As Regina puts pressure on Madge to dig for dirt on Jac, will Madge be tempted to betray the hospital and her old friend?

5. Russ makes a discovery

As Russ prepares to meet with Larry, the father of Billie's baby, he gets more than he bargained for when he learns a big secret.

Concerned after finding Billie's bags packed, Russ initially assumes she's planning to flee with Larry but is even more unsettled to learn that his daughter has made plans to move to Leeds ? alone.

Larry explains that Billie believes that Russ is suffering from depression following the death of his husband, and doesn't want to burden him with the responsibility of her newborn baby.

6. Hanssen faces a heartbreaking dilemma

As Russ reels from the news about Billie's plans, Hanssen urges her to see sense. In doing so, Hanssen learns that the reason Billie doesn't want Russ to go with her is because of him and the potential future they could have.

Billie tells Hanssen that Russ is in love with him, and believes the feeling is mutual, and therefore doesn't want to ruin her dad's second chance at happiness.

Determined for Russ to put Billie first, Hanssen makes a devastating decision that could change his life forever.

7. Jac's health takes a devastating turn

As the team reels from the news about Jac's prognosis, her health soon another devastating turn.

Fletch is left distraught when Jac collapses in front of him, but is her condition deteriorating more quickly than they thought?

8. Fletch takes action

The news about Jac's health hits Fletch the hardest, as he was completely in the dark about what was going on.

Devastated, Fletch demands to know why she couldn't confide in him, but Jac explains that she liked the false reality Fletch's obliviousness allowed.

Although Jac urges him to accept her prognosis ? like she has ? Fletch struggles to stand back and do nothing, and makes a call that could change everything. But to whom?
